Kartik Aaryan previously known as Kartik Tiwari is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films.
Kartik was approached by director Luv Ranjan, who had discovered him on the social networking site Facebook. In the movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama Kartik's 7-minute monologue—about the behaviour of women—in the film is considered as the lengthiest long take scene done for a Hindi film.
Kartik made his acting debut in 2011, as Kartik Tiwari with Luv Ranjan's romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He portrayed the role of Rajat (Rajjo). The film opened to mixed reviews from critics; however Kartik's performance was generally well received. Kartik's four-minute monologue—about the behaviour of women—in the film is considered as the lengthiest long take scene done for a Hindi film.

Kartik Aaryan was born as Kartik Tiwari on 22 November 1988 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has completed his schooling from St. Paul's School and Kiddy's School in Gwalior. He shifted to Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra to pursue engineering. He attended D.Y.Patil College, Navi Mumbai, when he was approached for 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama'. He wanted to try for films after the completion of his B.Tech course but he got lucky in the third year itself when the project fell onto his lap.
