Kim Jaewon (born 18 February 1981) is a South Korean actor. He is best known for the television dramas Romance (2002), Can You Hear My Heart (2011), May Queen (2012), and Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident (2013).
Biography
Kim enlisted on 23 March 2009 to fulfill his mandatory military service and was discharged on 24 January 2011. Upon his release, Kim joined the cast of Can You Hear My Heart as the first male lead. Kim received praise from the deaf community for his portrayal of Cha Dong Joo, a deaf man, in the drama. Kim signed on to star in Me Too, Flower! in the fall 2011, but after being injured early in the filming of the show, he was replaced by Yoon Shi-yoon.
In 2012 he was cast as male lead as Kang San in MBC weekend drama May Queen. It was reported on 31 October 2012, Kim injured the muscle of his right thigh while shooting a quarreling scene. He was taken to hospital for examination at the completion of filming, received treatment and has since returned to the regular shooting schedule.
Kim is playing the male lead in MBC television series Scandal he played a police officer who was kidnapped as child.
