Kopil Bora (Assamese: কপিল বৰা) is an Assamese actor, anchor and All India Radio voice artist. He debuted in Bidyut Chakravarty's 2002 Assamese film Gun Gun Gane Gane and know for his performance in Mon (2002), Ahir Bhairab (2008), Jetuka Pator Dore (2011) and Dwaar (2013).

The period was early 1970s. Brilliant brains from Calcutta Medical College to Presidency College, from Calcutta University to Bengal Engineering College, the meritorious boys and girls plunged into the revolution for social reform. They had given up their prosperous and promising careers for the sake of the society. However, the administration could eventually overcome the surge and more sadly, a few miscreants also took advantage of the general unrest for personal gain that eventually brought infamy to the revolution that was otherwise a dedicated and a respectable one. Thus the careers of these bright minds were doomed and many of them were killed and rest was forced to flee or go underground.

The story of Ajeyo takes place in a village of Assam in 1946, just some time before India’s independence and partition. Gojen Keot (Rupam Chetia), an honest yet short-tempered young man, lives alone with his grandmother. By doing some odd jobs here and there, he struggles to earn proper livelihood. He supports Gandhi and believes that once India becomes independent, social injustice will end. Though he dropped out of school, he tutors the no-caste Muslim girl Hasina (Jupitora Bhuyan). Once as a rookie participant in the freedom struggle he failed to deliver a note to a team of marching protesters against the British that caused the lives of two freedom fighters. He regularly battles ghosts of his past related to this incident.

Dwijen Bhattacharya (Kapil Bora), a young academic and writer, whose tryst with the social unrest and the student movement of his home state leaves an indelible scar on his personal and professional life. Attempting to write his novel of love, Dwijen ironically loses his intimacy and connection with his wife, Manosi (Zerifa Wahid). Their marital relationship goes through a rough phase. He suffers from neurotic hallucinations and severe depression, and attempts to break free from everyday life by alienating himself from his academic and personal responsibilities.
