Luca Barbareschi (born 28 July 1956 in Montevideo) is an Italian-Uruguayan actor, television presenter and politician, member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

He was one of four actors whom the Italian police believed had been murdered in the making of the 1980 horror film Cannibal Holocaust, where he also killed a young piglet. So realistic was the film that shortly after it was released its director Ruggero Deodato was arrested on suspicions of murder. The actors had signed contracts to stay out of the media for a year in order to fuel rumours that the film was a snuff movie. The court was only convinced that they were alive when the contracts were cancelled and the actors appeared on a television show as proof.

In 2008 he was elected as Member of the Italian Parliament at the Chamber of Deputies with Silvio Berlusconi's centre-right party People of Freedom. In 2010 he joined, with other 32 deputies and 10 senators, the Gianfranco Fini's new party "Future and Freedom for Italy".

In 2012 he made a great stir when he knocked out an Italian journalist who was asking about his absence from sessions of parliament.

En 1894, le capitaine Alfred Dreyfus, officier français de confession juive, est condamné à la déportation à vie pour avoir fourni des documents secrets à l'Allemagne. Le commandant Marie-Georges Picquart, promu lieutenant-colonel et chef du Deuxième Bureau, découvre que le commandant Ferdinand Walsin Esterhazy espionne pour l'Allemagne et que son propre adjoint, Hubert Henry, sait que le véritable traître n'est pas Dreyfus mais Esterhazy, surnommé Dubois. Par devoir et sens de l'honneur, Picquart refuse d'obéir à ses chefs qui lui ordonnent d'étouffer l'affaire. Il est menacé, arrêté, emprisonné, mais persiste jusqu'à ce que la vérité éclate et que Dreyfus soit libéré et réhabilité. Louis Salinger, of Interpol, and Eleanor Whitman, an Assistant District Attorney from Manhattan, are investigating the International Bank of Business and Credit (IBBC), which funds activities such as money laundering, terrorism, arms trading, and the destabilization of governments. Salinger's and Whitman's investigation takes them from Berlin to Milan, where the IBBC assassinates Umberto Calvini, an arms manufacturer who is an Italian prime ministerial candidate. The bank's assassin diverts suspicion to a local assassin with political connections, who is promptly killed by a corrupt policeman. Salinger and Whitman get a lead on the second assassin, but the corrupt policeman shows up again and orders them out of the country. At the airport they are able to check the security camera footage for clues on the whereabouts on the bank's assassin, and follow a suspect to New York.
