Polly Fulton (Barbara Stanwyck) is the only daughter of rich industrialist B.F. Fulton (Charles Coburn). She is involved in a long engagement to lawyer Bob Tasmin (Richard Hart), a pleasant, dependable gentleman who has the full approval of her family.
