Lynda Goodfriend (born October 31, 1953) is an American actress who is best remembered as Lori Beth Cunningham (née Allen), Richie's girlfriend then wife on the TV sitcom, Happy Days. Prior to that, she played Ethel "Sunshine" Akalino on the short-lived series Blansky's Beauties. After that show left the air, she and co-star, Scott Baio (who had played Anthony DeLuca, Nancy Walker's nephew), joined Happy Days.

Goodfriend originally played a guest role in the fourth season of Happy Days as Kim in Time Capsule and Graduation (Part 1), before returning to the show as Lori Beth in season five.

Goodfriend went on to play several parts in notable Garry Marshall films, playing a tourist in Pretty Woman, as well as cameo and guest star roles in Exit to Eden, Nothing in Common and Beaches. During the mid to late 1980s, Goodfriend appeared in several independent projects, including An All Consuming Passion, a film written and directed by Kathryn Nesmith (producer of 1981's Elephant Parts and wife of Michael Nesmith of the group, The Monkees). Goodfriend directed the teleplay pilot Four Stars that was financed by Garry Marshall and starred veteran actor Bert Kramer and actress Julie Paris. More recently, she directed the short film, The Perfect Crime.

She is currently a talent manager and is responsible for the career trajectory of teen sensations, Aly & AJ, who are now known as the pop rock band 78violet.

Goodfriend also holds a BFA from Southern Methodist University and is the acting chair at the New York Film Academy.

Edward Lewis (Richard Gere), a successful workaholic businessman and corporate raider in Los Angeles on business, accidentally takes a detour on Hollywood Boulevard while looking for Beverly Hills. He unsuccessfully tries to ask for directions and ends up in the red-light district, where he encounters a sex-worker named Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts), who mistakes him for a possible client. Her roommate and best friend, Kit De Luca (Laura San Giacomo), encourages her to recruit him, though he only wants directions and makes a deal with her to pay her if she shows him the way. Intrigued by her knowledge and wit he hires her to spend the night with him for $300 in his hotel's penthouse apartment, treating her to strawberries and champagne and sharing personal information with her. He comes to trust her as she "surprises" him by flossing her teeth after eating the strawberries (and not doing drugs as he thought she was more likely to do given her profession). They spend the night watching I Love Lucy reruns and having sex.

Happy-go-lucky advertising executive David Basner (Tom Hanks), who recently got a promotion at his Chicago ad agency, returns to work from a vacation. He is carefree until his parents split up after 36 years of marriage. Out of the blue, he must care for his aging, bitter father Max (Jackie Gleason), as well as support his emotionally fragile mother Lorraine (Eva Marie Saint). Max has also just been fired from his 35-year career in the garment industry. At work, David is developing a commercial for Colonial Airlines, owned by the rich and bullish Andrew Woolridge (Barry Corbin).
