Maiko (マイコ, born March 15, 1985, in Seattle, United States or Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese-American actress who is represented by the talent agency GR Promotion.
Maiko's first starring role was in the film, Yama no Anata: Tokuichi no Koi, with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi in 2008. In 2010, she appeared in the NHK Taiga drama, Ryōmaden. Maiko later become the third-generationg member of Choya Umeshu's Sarari to Shita Umeshu. In 2011, she appeared in the NHK Asadora, Ohisama, and in December of the same year, her debut in stage is 8 Women.
In 2014, Maiko played Ayumi Himekawa in Glass Mask, and later appeared in many films, television series, stage shows, and advertisements.

Maiko was a subject to a longing scout and auditioned in the entertainment industry when she was a teenager. She received a corporate advertising audition for Shiseido and debuted in an advertisement in 2006.Maiko's first starring role was in the film, Yama no Anata: Tokuichi no Koi, with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi in 2008. In 2199, after five years of attacks by an alien race known as Gamilas, the Earth Defense Force launches a counter-offensive near Mars. The fleet's weapons are no match for the Gamilas, who easily wipe out much of the force. The film opens when Sayo Arima, a girl brought up in a wealthy family and now an elderly woman, unexpectedly receives a manuscript written by Haigo, a circus clown whom she met many years ago. It deals with the events seventy years earlier when Sayo was friends with Sota, a poor village boy who lived with his grandfather and dreamt of being a painter. The film moves back to that time, when a circus came to the town where Sayo and Sota lived. Despite Sota's grandfather warning him not to go near the circus, Sota goes with Sayo. After the performance, they sneak backstage and are caught by the circus clown Haigo, who kindly gives Sota an egg, which he had intended to buy for his grandfather. Sota believes that the clown can read his mind, and calls him Kamisama, which means "god" in Japanese.
