Biography
Découverte par Luchino Visconti, Marina Pierro joue un de ses premiers rôles dans L'Innocent (1976). Elle devient l'égérie de Walerian Borowczyk et jouera dans la majorité de ses films à partir de 1978. Une première apparition dans Interno di un convento (Intérieur d'un couvent), puis se succèdent plusieurs films controversés que l'on qualifia d'érotiques et de surréalistes.En 1982, elle a joué dans le film de Jean Rollin, La Morte vivante, aux côtés de Françoise Blanchard.

Dans l'Antiquité, en l'an XIII du premier siècle de notre ère dans la mythique cité de Rome, plusieurs jeunes hommes décident de suivre l'enseignement du poête Ovide, afin d'apprendre l'art de séduire les femmes. Claudia, très belle femme brune, dont l'époux Marcarius est parti à la guerre, éprouve de la solitude. Cornelius, l'un des jeunes élèves d'Ovide, entreprend de tester sur elle ses connaissances. Two men break into an old crypt, seeking to dump toxic waste and rob the graves. When an earthquake causes the toxic waste to spill, Catherine Valmont (Françoise Blanchard), a young woman who died several years ago, is resurrected. She viciously kills the thieves and drinks their blood. As Catherine walks aimlessly through a field, Barbara (Carina Barone) spots her and takes a few photos, though Barbara's boyfriend, Greg (Mike Marshall), takes no notice. Catherine returns to her old house, the Valmont Mansion, and memories of her childhood come back to her, especially her childhood friend, Hélène (Marina Pierro). As Catherine wanders the house, a real estate agent shows an old couple around the property, though they show little interest. After they leave, Hélène calls the house, presumably inquiring about it. However, she hears nothing but a cherished music box, leading her to believe that Catherine may still be alive.

Dr. Henry Jekyll (Udo Kier), where the doctor is being feted prior to his engagement to the austere Miss Fanny Osborne (Marina Pierro). The guests arrive and are various dignitaries and officials. Suzy Bannion, an American ballet student, arrives from her flight in Munich, Germany on a stormy night to enroll in a prestigious dance academy in Freiburg. After Suzy is unable to gain access into the academy, she spends the night in town. Pat Hingle, a student who is expelled from the academy is seen by Suzy leaving and looking frightened. Pat finds refuge at a friend's apartment in town. After she locks herself in the bathroom, a mysterious arm smothers her against the glass. Her friend hears this and tries to scream for help but Pat is repeatedly stabbed and bound with a cord before she is hung in mid-air. Her friend is killed directly below by the falling glass and metal.

The story is set in the late nineteenth century. Tullio Hermil (Giancarlo Giannini), a wealthy Roman aristocrat married to Giuliana (Laura Antonelli) lives his sexual life with a possessive aristocratic mistress (Jennifer O'Neill), Teresa. However, his interest in his wife Guliana is rekindled when he sees Guliana's happiness after she has begun a love affair with a novelist, Filippo d'Aborio. She becomes pregnant by him. Tullio urges an abortion. She refuses. d'Arborio dies of a tropical infection. Tullio cannot tolerate the healthy male child delivered to Giuliana, although he tries. While the family are at Christmas mass he exposes the baby and it dies, apparently of natural causes. Giuliana, who knows Tullio has murdered the baby, leaves him. Tullio attempts to rekindle his affair with Teresa and takes her to his town house. There they attempt to make love. When she tells him she no longer loves him he shoots himself in the heart and dies. Teresa picks up her belongings and leaves.
