Martin Schenkel (25 April 1968 – 27 March 2003) was a Swiss television actor and musician starring usually in Swiss German television productions.

Biography

Martin Schenkel was born in Basel and attended after the high school the drama school in Bern, thenafter he moved to Germany for an engagement at the State Theater, Karlsruhe. His most popular role is the character of Flip in the Swiss comedy serial Fascht e Familie in the 1990s, where he had to break for reasons of health. Thenafter, Martin Schenkel was involved Lüthi und Blanc from 1999 to 2003 and contributed its theme "Whenever". He also became successful as a pop musician. Martin Schenkel died on 27 March 2003 in Zermatt after a brief illness.

Beni, age 15, becomes enamoured with a singer from the rock band "The Minks", Fögi Müller, who is ten years older than him. Fögi ensnares him with the perceived glamor of being a musician, takes him on as the band's 'roadie', and at the same time seduces him. Beni unquestionably follows him, including following him into drug addiction. Beni's youthful innocence is destroyed in a milieu of sex, drinking, drugs, and rock-and-roll. He ends up prostituting himself to pay for Fögi's drug habit.
