Megan Elizabeth McKinnon (born February 5, 1996) is a Canadian teen actress with more than 50 credits to her name.

McKinnon was born in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. She has appeared in over 40 Independent Films in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Most notable are Samantha's Art, in which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2005. She also appeared in The Bully Solution, a short created in 48 hours as a part of the Vancouver Bloodshots Film Festival, October 2005. This film won 1st place by judge Robert Rodriguez (director of Spy Kids).

More recently, she filmed the role of Wendy in upcoming feature film The Last Mimzy, and the role of Young Allie in upcoming feature film Project Grey. She won the 2007 Young Artist Award for the title role in Little Samantha Tripp.

Presented as a story by a group of students and their teacher Lena that takes place in the distant future, The Last Mimzy is the story of the attempt by humans in the distant future to avert a catastrophic ecological disaster that has destroyed their world. High tech devices disguised as toys are sent back in time to Noah and Emma Wilder, children living in early 21st century Seattle. The "toys" are incomprehensible to Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn) and Noah (Chris O'Neil), except for what appears to be a stuffed rabbit. Sensing the paranormal strangeness of the devices, the children initially keep their discovery secret from their parents.

After being released from prison, convicted felon Max Truemont (played by Josh Holloway) and his fiancée Roxanne (played by Sarah Wayne Callies), wish to have a fresh start by running a small diner of their own. In 1993, Jerry Shepard (Paul Walker) is a guide at an Antarctica research base under contract with the National Science Foundation. UCLA professor, Dr. Davis McClaren (Bruce Greenwood), arrives at the base. He presses Shepard to take him to Mount Melbourne to attempt to find a rare meteorite from the planet Mercury. Shepard does so, ignoring his own intuition, which tells him it is too late in the season to complete such a treacherous route, and decides that the only way to get to Mount Melbourne is by dog sled.
