Mengke Bateer or Menk Batere (born November 20, 1975), commonly referred to simply as Bateer, is a Chinese professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA. He currently plays center for Xinjiang Guanghui.
Bateer is an ethnic minority from China's Inner Mongolia region. Like many other ethnic Mongols, he does not have a family name, and his full name is a composition of two words: Mönkh (Eternal) and Baatar (Hero). In China, he is only referred to as "Ba Te Er" in the country's tradition. In China, Bateer is sometimes affectionately called "Da Ba" (大巴).
At 210 cm and 132 kg, Bateer is a strong center who is an accomplished screen-setter and passer (having dished out 6 assists in one NBA game, on March 30, 2002, against the Chicago Bulls), though he is severely hindered by his lack of speed.
As of 2012, Bateer holds two notable distinctions. He is the only Chinese basketballer to have played in the NBA without being selected in any NBA draft. He is also the first Chinese basketballer, and one of only two, to have been on an NBA championship-winning roster, having been a part of the San Antonio Spurs when they won the NBA championship in 2003. The only other Chinese basketballer to have accomplished this is Sun Yue, who was a part of the Los Angeles Lakers roster that won the NBA championship in 2009. Both Bateer and Sun Yue would end up being a part of the 2014 CBA Finals champion team, which made them both be the only winners of both the NBA Finals and CBA Finals' championships.

Le moine Tang Sanzang (Kris Wu) arrive dans une ville en Inde, précédé de sa réputation. Son maître le félicite d'être arrivé jusqu'en Inde et d'avoir retrouver les Sutras, et lui donne une auréole en récompense. Cette auréole, cependant, fonctionne mal et Tang se réveille dans un village d'artistes de cirque avec ses trois disciples : Sun Wukong (Lin Gengxin ), Zhu Bajie (Yang Yiwei), et Sha Wujing (Mengke Bateer). Tang encourage Sun Wukong à se produire devant les villageois, mais celui-ci refuse. Insistant, il énerve Sun Wukong en l'insultant de « mauvais singe » et ce-dernier se met à ravager le village. Les villageois terrifiés offrent alors au groupe de l'argent et de la nourriture pour continuer leur voyage, mais Sun Wukong continue de faire des ravages, propulsant Zhu Bajie et Tang dans les airs. In 1905, Sun Wen intends to go abroad to Hong Kong, then a British colony, to discuss his plans with fellow Tongmenghui members to overthrow the corrupt and crumbling Qing dynasty in China. Empress Dowager Cixi sends a group of assassins, led by Yan Xiaoguo, to kill Sun. Revolutionary Chen Shaobai arrives in Hong Kong a few days before Sun's arrival, to meet Li Yutang, a businessman who provides financial aid for the revolutionaries. As Sun Wen's arrival day draws near, trouble begins brewing in Hong Kong as Chen Shaobai's acquaintances are murdered and Chen himself is kidnapped by the assassins during a raid. Li Yutang decides to officially declare his support for the revolutionaries after the newspaper agency is closed by the British authorities, who do not interfere in China's political situation. Li rallies a group of men, including rickshaw pullers, hawkers and a beggar, to serve as bodyguards for Sun Wen when he arrives. Li's son, Chongguang, is chosen to act as a decoy for Sun Wen to divert the assassins away while Sun attends the meeting and leaves Hong Kong safely.
