Michael Audreson (born 1 August 1956) is a British actor, who appeared in many films and T.V. shows in the 1960s. He appeared in the Children's Film Foundation series of 12 episodes of The Magnificent Six and a Half before playing the bespectacled "Brains" in Here Come the Double Deckers (1970-71). In the film Young Winston (1971) he played Winston Churchill as a schoolboy.

As the 1970s progressed, Audreson's appearances reduced significantly, but he had a role in a couple of episodes of The Tomorrow People (1978) television series. In 1996 Audreson founded Rivendell Healthcare, a Drug & Alcohol addiction treatment centre. This clinic is now called Mindsets.

He has written and directed two short films: The Man Who Could Read Minds (1999) and Eve Buckingham (2001) starring Susan Hampshire. His feature film The 10 Arenas of Marwood (2010), which he wrote and directed, stars Judi Bowker, John Hasler, Kate G. Laycy, Michael Mayne, Bryan Murray, Lucy Russell, Issy Van Randwyck, Emma Williams and Peter Wickham as Marwood.

He is in pre-production on a transmedia feature Don't Get Mad which looks through the eyes of a young actress at the new phenomenon of communicating via the internet to resolve issues. He has in development a documentary about drug addiction.

Terence Rattigan's screenplay is a major departure from the simple plot of Hilton's novella. The time frame of the original story was advanced by several decades, starting in the 1920s, continuing through the Second World war, and ending in the late 1960s. Also, it does not show Chipping's first arrival at the Brookfield School, but starts with him already an established member of the teaching staff.

Set in the 1910s, the story opens with a montage of European Grand Prix races in which a particular car appears to win every race. In the final race, the car swerves to avoid a girl and a dog, loses control, crashes, and catches fire, bringing its racing career to an end. The car ends up in an old garage in rural England, where two children, Jeremy and Jemima Potts, have grown fond of it. They are told by a junkman that he intends to buy the car from the garage owner for scrap. The children (who live with their widowed father Caractacus Potts, an eccentric inventor, and his equally peculiar father) implore their father to buy the car before the junkman does, but he does not have the money. While playing truant, they meet Truly Scrumptious, a beautiful upper class woman with her own motorcar. She brings them home to report their truancy to their father. Truly shows interest in Caractacus' odd inventions, but he is affronted by her insistence that his children should be in school.
