Biography

Au cinéma, essentiellement durant la période du muet, Milton Moore est chef opérateur d'une trentaine de films américains, le premier étant le western Love's Lariat de Harry Carey et George Marshall (1916, avec Harry Carey et Neal Hart).

Suivent notamment de nombreuses réalisations de Dallas M. Fitzgerald, dont Playing with Fire (1921, avec Kathryn McGuire et Eddie Gribbon) et The Girl He Didn't Buy (son dernier film muet, 1928, avec Pauline Garon et Rosie Cooper).

Mentionnons également Larmes de clown de Victor Sjöström (1924, avec Lon Chaney et Norma Shearer), That Model from Paris de Louis J. Gasnier (1926, avec Bert Lytell et Marceline Day) et The First Night de Richard Thorpe (1927, avec Bert Lytell et Dorothy Devore).

Paul Beaumont (Lon Chaney) is a scientist who labored for years alone to prove his radical theories on the origin of mankind. Baron Regnard (Marc McDermott) becomes his patron, enabling him to do research while living in his mansion. One day, Beaumont announces to his beloved wife Marie and the Baron that he has proved all his theories and is ready to present them before the Academy of the Sciences. He leaves the arrangements to the Baron. However, after Beaumont goes to sleep, Marie steals his key, opens the safe containing his papers, and gives them to the baron. It is clear that Marie and the Baron are lovers.

In 1925, pilot Larry Cassidy (Ormer Locklear) is flying air mail for the United States Postal Service. He faces a deadly foe, Chester Van Arland (Ray Ripley), the leader of the "Death's Head Squadron", intent on stealing a $20,000 shipment of gold that will be on a midnight flight to Washington. Van Arland has the medal air mail pilot Wallie Mason (Allan Forrest) was awarded for his war service in France and has kidnapped Mason's girlfriend, Beryl Caruthers (Francelia Billington). He offers to return the medal in return for inside information about the gold shipment. Cassidy, Mason's friend and fellow pilot, is able to stymie the gang's plans, using his aircraft to chase down Van Arland and rescue Mason's girlfriend.
