Neelu Vaghela (Hindi: नीलू वाघेला; born 15 April 1970) is an Indian actress, dancer and television personality, well known for her work in the Rajasthani cinema. Currently, she is seen playing the role of Santosh "Bhabo" Rathi in the soap opera Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, which is running at the top in TRP ratings. She has her own production house, Aruneel Films, which makes Rajasthani movies.

Biography

Neelu was seen in season 5 of Nach Baliye. The actor shoots for the daily soap from 9 am to 9 pm and then masters dance steps with her choreographer from 10 pm to 1 am. She also feels that this show will help her portray her real character. "I am an emotional and soft spoken person in real life unlike Bhabho [her character in Diya Aur Baati Hum]. This will bring out my real side".

Neelu "always wanted to be an actress.". "It was during a stage performance that [she] was chosen for acting in films." Her first movie, Supattar Binani, in which she acted in 1981 at the age of 11, was a superhit and after that she was flooded with offers.

"[Her] film Bai Chali Sasariye was also remade in Hindi as Saajan Ka Ghar in which Juhi Chawla was the protagonist. The title track of the TV show Balika Vadhu (Chotti Si Umar) is from [her] movie Bai Chali Sasariye".

She is married to Arvind Kumar, and has two children - Kaizer and Vanshika.
