Paul Vincent Napier (March 10, 1930 – February 21, 2015) was an American actor. He had small roles in multiple television series, but was known mostly for his roles in over 400 advertisements, especially for General Motors' Certified Service program.

Biography

Napier was born in Rochester, New York. He attended the Aquinas Institute and later graduated from Cornell University. Before his acting career, he worked for the Rochester Americans hockey team as promotions director and was the sports announcer for WBBF. He moved to California in 1960. Napier began serving the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) as a board member in 1979, and helped establish the Screen Actors Guild Awards show first held in 1995. He was named the 2010 recipient of SAG Hollywood's Ralph Morgan Award. After his acting career, Napier coached high school sports around Los Angeles schools. Napier died in 2015 and was posthumously honored with the Aquinas Institute's Distinguished Alumnus Award that year.

Bible professor Russell Carlisle (D. David Morin) confronts and lectures a boy who has stolen marbles from his neighbors, calling his action unjust. The year is 1890 and Carlisle has written a new manuscript entitled The Changing Times, which promotes good morals without discussing Christ. The book is on track to receive a unanimous endorsement from the board of the Grace Bible Seminary. That is, until colleague Dr. Norris Anderson (Gavin MacLeod) objects. Without unanimous endorsement, his book might not do so well. Carlisle and another professor seek a unanimity rule change, but the dean insists that Carlisle discuss the disagreement with Anderson privately.

California, June 1959. Paige Farrell (Lindsay Frost), a wealthy young femme fatale, has just graduated from high school and is now celebrating at rich classmate Lee's (Dylan Walsh) mansion. Vulnerable, she gives into unexperienced Alex Twining's (Jace Alexander) attempts to court her. They are about to have sex in a motel, when Linda starts to vomit, ruining the night. Later at night, some of the students drive home and get into a car accident, killing Phillip and Cecily, a beloved couple who were set to marry. Ben Kirkland (Steven Weber), who owned the car, feels guilty for having allowed them to drive the car, even though they were drunk.
