Prachi Desai (born 12 September 1988) is an Indian Bollywood film and television actress. She started her television career as the lead protagonist in successful TV drama Kasamh Se on Zee TV. She made her Bollywood career with the 2008 film Rock On!!. Her other notable features includes Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Bol Bachchan (2012) and I, Me Aur Main (2013). She is also the endorser, spokesperson, brand ambassador and the face of Goa Tourism and Neutrogena products in India. Desai also a brand ambassador of Luxlyra.

The movie starts with Aisha Verma (Shraddha Kapoor) calling her husband and leaving a message for him. A mysterious man in a hood breaks into her house, murders her with a screwdriver, and throws her out of the window. At her funeral, CBI officer, Aditya Rathore (Shaad Randhawa), points out to the police, that it is vital to track down the murderer or else Guru Purohit (Sidharth Malhotra), Aisha's husband, would go on a killing spree. He misguides Guru by blaming Guru's former boss, a gangster Caeser (Remo Fernandes), for killing Aisha. In a flashback, he reveals that Guru used to work as a hitman for Caeser. Two years back, Guru had mercilessly killed a young man in a fit of anger, in front of his mother and younger brother. She tells Guru that one day God will make him pay for all his crimes.

In 1960, an aspiring musician, Govind (Shahid Kapoor), meets Ruksar (Priyanka Chopra), a young woman who ran away from her home with her best friend to become a famous film star, on a train heading to Bombay, India. The two bond over their careers but part ways after arriving in Bombay. Govind befriends Mahi (Prachi Desai), a confident and modern girl. Ruksar meets Govind again and the two hit it off at a party. When Govind notices a photo journalist following him and Ruksar, he holds Mahi's hand to mislead him, unaware that Mahi has fallen in love with him. It is then revealed that Mahi is the best friend of Ruksar had run away with, and the two tell each other about the man they've fallen in love with, not realising it is the same person. Abbas Ali (Abhishek Bachchan) lives in Chandni Chowk with his sister Sania (Asin Thottumkal). When their ancestral property is taken from them by deception, Abbas loses his job. Their family friend, Shastri (Asrani), convinces them to move to his village, Ranakpur, where he assures Abbas that he will get him a job at his boss, Prithviraj Raghuvanshi's (Ajay Devgn), place. Pritvhiraj is a powerful but kind-hearted man who hates lies and liars, and punishes them harshly. The film opens with a suicide attempt by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Agnel Wilson (Randeep Hooda) on the pretext of the Bombay Bombings in 1993. When questioned by his superior over his actions, he breaks down and claims that the recent tragic events are his own fault. Wilson recounts that 18 years ago, when he was posted as the ACP in the Mumbai crime branch, his inability to take the necessary action led to the rise of Shoaib Khan (Emraan Hashmi) a dreaded gangster, who played a central role in the bombings. Throughout the film, Wilson narrates the story of 1970s Bombay, when it was ruled by a kind hearted smuggler Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgn), and how Mirza's eventual downfall led to Shoaib's rise to power.

Rock On begins in Mumbai, with the rock band Magik, in 1998. Joseph (Joe) Mascarhenas (Arjun Rampal) is the lead guitarist who feels necessity to prove his worth as a musician. Aditya Shroff (Farhan Akhtar) is the lead singer who rebelled against his well to-do family to play music. Rob Nancy (Luke Kenny) who plays keyboards and Kedar Zaveri a.k.a. KD/"Killer Drummer" (Purab Kohli) comprise the remainder of the band. After a competition is announced by Channel V, they decide to enter, as the winner will be offered an album and one music video.

So they first visited the Jogini Durbar where they were helped with magic equipments like a golden stick etc. Then they went to Maya Puri where they found spirits trapped by the witch of the Maya Puri. After many hurdles they finally killed the witch and helped the fairies to escape. The fairies then promised to tell them about their parents. They were taken for lunch to the Jogini Durbar where the king of Arabia also joined them. It was soon discovered that three children were the children of this king. The five fairies revealed how the sister of the king's wife played tricks and let the three children flow in the river for which the king punished his wife and banished her from the palace. Finally there was a happy reunion and Arun, Barun & Kiranmala found their parents and all lived happily ever after.
