Rachael Kneeland (born March 13, 1984), known professionally as Rachael Bella, is a former American actress known for her role as Becca Kotler in the movie The Ring. After giving birth to her son in September 2006, she retired from acting and worked as an administrative assistant at the Los Angeles-based Internet startup Planjam; as a loan sales and service client representative at the law firm Janian & Associates; and, beginning 2010, as a receptionist and office assistant at the Law Offices of Marlo Van Oorschot.

The film opens with Brandon (David DeRuiter), Tony (Haven Lamoureux), Brittany (Jessica Landon) and Tiffany (Nicole Cavazos) arriving at the fast food restaurant "Hella Burger". While there, the group are continuously insulted over the intercom system, causing a furious Tony to enter. As he searches, he is attacked by the restaurant's mascot, Horny the Clown. Brandon soon enters, only to find Tony dead in the deep fat fryer before he is attacked and butchered by Horny with a meat cleaver. Horny proceeds outside and murders Brittany and Tiffany.

A subculture has grown surrounding the video: people wait to see how close to the seven-day deadline they can get. When they grow too afraid to go on any longer, they show the tape to the next assigned person. During the interval, some create videos documenting their experiences to be posted to websites devoted to the videotape phenomenon. Groups that have watched the video are called "rings".
