Rashami Desai (also Rashmi) is an Indian television actress. She is best known for playing the role of Tapasya Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore in the popular television soap opera, Uttaran on Colors. She has acted in many B grade movies before shifting to television. She has also acted in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri and Bhojpuri movies. She has also bagged many accolades mostly for Uttaran.

Biography

Desai is married to her co-star from Uttaran, Nandish Sandhu, since 12 February 2012. They tied the knot in Dholpur. In 2013, Rashami became pregnant but suffered from a miscarriage. Due to the miscarriage, problems started taking place in their lives. In 2014, Rashami and Nandish started staying separately due to some differences. However, resolving all differences, they came back together and apparently patched up.

She is a very active person and likes to take part in dance and reality TV shows and also participated on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 which also aired on Colors TV. On the show she spoke about her miscarriage and other contestant felt that it was all done for sympathy.

She also appeared on Shekhar Suman hosted Movers and Shakers show.

The story carries on from the previous film— Inspector Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan)— in charge of a local police station in Kanpur and resides there with his wife Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), brother Makkhi (Arbaaz Khan) and stepfather (Vinod Khanna). A boy gets kidnapped from a school therefore Chulbul deals with the problem. In Kanpur, an assassin murders a witness who is about to testify against a dreaded don. Chulbul tracks the assassin down, killing him at a coffeehouse. The don is Bachcha (Prakash Raj), a struggling politician. After several public altercations, Bachcha's brother Genda (Deepak Dobriyal) convinces him to get rid of Pandey, threatening Chulbul's stepfather to kill his entire family if Chulbul keeps on interfering in Bachcha's criminal activities.

Dushant (played by Khan), Jaya (Tandon), Sujit (Behl) and Nisha (Nishan) are childhood friends. Dushant aspires to become a successful singer but has little money. Jaya helps him to realize his ambitions. As Dushant achieves success, a rift is created between the two of them. Sujit and Nisha take undue advantage of this to get close to Dushant and create a misunderstanding between him and Jaya. Kamlesh Dhingra (Avtaar Gill), Nisha's father, approaches Dushant for financial assistance for his business venture but is turned down by Rajpal (Kiran Kumar), Dushant's mentor. Dhingra and Sujit plot to amass Dushant's wealth by luring Dushant to marry Nisha and getting rid of Rajpal. Dushant learns of this plot. When Sujit is murdered, Rahul (Amit Kumar), a police officer, comes to investigate the murder. Nisha is also murdered under mysterious circumstances and the climax builds when Dhingra is also killed.
