Max Doyle (Ryan Ochoa) has eyes only for Cammie (Bella Thorne); the smart, popular red head girl in school. When Max finally scores a date with Cammie on Halloween, Phears, an evil ghost with plans taking over the world, unleashes his ghouls and things goes haywire. With the help of his friends - Tara (Madison Pettis) and Nicky (Roshon Fegan) - who have turned into ghosts, he tries to destroy Phears (Charlie Hewson), before he takes over the world. The next morning, Max tells the truth to Cammie about having two ghost-friends. Fortunately Cammie believes him and they make out, revealing that they are now dating. At the end, Max, Tara, Nicky and the rest of the people in the neighborhood are shown as dancing and singing, as the credits roll.

Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green, voice-over by Seth Dusky) is just beginning summer vacation, and his father (Tom Everett Scott) is leaving for a business trip. While Milo is wanting his summer to be a fun one, his mother (Joan Cusack) assigns him chores and tasks like taking out the trash. At dinnertime, Milo is given broccoli. His mother has a "no broccoli, no TV" rule which Milo cleverly evades. When Milo feeds his broccoli to his cat, his mom grounds him and sends him to bed early. After a heated argument with his mother, Milo wishes that he never had a mom. Later that night, his wish comes true when his mother is abducted by Martians who plan to steal her "momness" to rear their own young.

Toby Tenma is a teenager who lives in the futuristic city-state Metro City, which floats above the polluted "Surface". Toby's father, Dr. Tenma, is a famous roboticist and head of the Ministry of Science, but has a distant relationship with his son. Dr. Tenma meets the city's obstructive leader President Stone to demonstrate a new defensive robot called the Peacekeeper. To power it, Tenma's friend Dr. Elefun unveils the Blue and Red Core, two energy spheres which have opposing positive and negative energy. Stone has the destructive Red Core placed into the Peacekeeper, causing it to go berserk, leading to Toby being disintegrated after sneaking into the room.

In 1843, Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender at a London counting house holds everything that embodies the joys and spirit of Christmas in contempt. He refuses to visit his cheerful nephew, Fred, at his Christmas dinner party with his family, and he forces his underpaid employee Bob Cratchit to beg to take the day off for his own family. At the final game of the World Series of Little League, Monterrey defeated the team of West La Mesa, California 4-0. College student Caitlin Fairchild is offered a scholarship by the National Security Committee to attend a secret military school set in a U.S. desert.
