Sally Insul (October 3, 1916 – August 4, 2008) was an US actress who appeared in over fifty different television and film roles during her career.

Insul was born and raised as a native Chicagoan. She wrote and directed her first play when she was 16 years old. She received her degree from Wilbur Wright College, but also trained at the Goodman Theatre, one of Chicago's oldest theatrical institutions.

Insul's television credits included roles in well known series including The X-Files, Wings, Baywatch, Golden Girls, Gilmore Girls, Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, My Name is Earl, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Seinfeld.

Her film credits included The Wedding Planner, The Wedding Singer, L.A. Confidential, Primary Colors and Old School. Most recently, Insul appeared as Aunt Peggy in the 2006 film, Click, opposite Adam Sandler. She was also regularly cast in a series of film roles by the Coen Brothers.

Despite her film and television roles, Insul remained active in the theater throughout her career. She had recently performed with the Platinum Players in Beverly Hills, California, in April 2008. Insul, a SAG member, also volunteered at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Insul died of heart failure in Los Angeles August 4, 2008, at the age of 92. She was survived by her three children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her husband, Herbert K. Insul, predeceased her. She was buried at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Culver City, California.

Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a hardworking architect who is married to his longtime sweetheart, Donna (Kate Beckinsale) with two children, Ben and Samantha. Michael is easily pushed around by his overbearing boss, Mr. Ammer (David Hasselhoff). On numerous occasions, Michael willingly sacrifices time with his family to work so he can give them the kinds of possessions he never had. While going in search of a universal remote control at the retail store Bed Bath & Beyond, Michael falls onto a bed and then proceeds to the section marked "Beyond". There, he befriends a mysterious man named Morty (Christopher Walken), who gives him a "universal" remote control and warns that it can never be returned.

FBI agent Joe Devine (Alec Baldwin) has been assigned to coming up with an elaborate scheme to take down infamous mob boss John Gotti. He assumes the role of a Hollywood producer and tells all the right lies to enlist a stooge to help execute his sting. He finds unsuspecting wannabe writer/director Steven Schats (Matthew Broderick), who'd do just about everything to get the chance to direct a feature. Schats falls for the pitch, but what Devine doesn't tell Schats is that the movie will never be made.
