Severin Bijelić (10 February 1921 – 28 July 1972) was a Serbian actor. He appeared in 77 films and television shows between 1949 and 1972. He starred in the 1967 film The Rats Woke Up, which won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 17th Berlin International Film Festival.

While he was young, he was also a football goalkeeper, having played in the Yugoslav First League with Belgrade side FK BASK. Before the start of the Second World War, he was the usual goalkeeper of the Yugoslav U-21 team, and in 1941 he moved to FK Obilić.

The protagonist, Bora (Bekim Fehmiu), is a charming but mean-spirited gypsy, while his older wife, Lence (Olivera Vučo), is submissive. Bora is in love with the younger Tisa (Gordana Jovanović), who is being offered in marriage by her father. The two get themselves in trouble and eventually have to flee. Tisa rejects her husband and she and Bora get married in the church. Tisa tries to get to Belgrade, while Bora stabs a man in a knife fight. They are both, therefore, exiled from their Romani camp, yet their adventures continue.

Le peintre Peter Palette fait la sieste sous un orme enchanté. À son réveil, il s'aperçoit qu'il peut à présent communiquer avec les animaux de la forêt, et que son pinceau a des pouvoirs magiques.
