Shuhrat Abbosov (sometimes spelled Shukhrat Abbasov in English) (Uzbek: Shuhrat Abbosov, Шуҳрат Аббосов; Russian: Шухрат Абба́сов) (born January 16, 1931) is an Uzbek actor, film director, screenwriter, and film producer. Abbosov is best known for his film Mahallada duv-duv gap (1960) which is considered to be one of the best Uzbek films of all time. He is also known for writing the screenplay for the highly-popular 1977 adventure film Shum bola.
Abbosov is celebrated as one of the founders of the Uzbek film making industry. He has received many honorary titles and awards, including the titles People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR and People's Artist of the USSR.
Abbosov meurt dans l'hôpital du gouvernement N.1 à Tachkent le 25 avril 2018 où il était hospitalisé depuis plusieurs jours.

Biography
Abbosov gradue de l'Institut de théâtre et d'art de Tachkent Ostrovsky en 1949. Il a commencé sa carrière avec Mosfilm, puis la continue avec Uzbekfilm. Il est principalement connu pour avoir réalisé le film Mahallada Duv-duv Gap et avoir écrit Ozornik réalisé par Damir Salimov. Durant sa carrière, il reçoit plusieurs récompense dont les plus notoires sont le titre d'Artiste du peuple de l'URSS en 1981, d'Artiste du peuple de l'Ouzbékistan en 1974 ainsi que les médailles Shuhrat et El-yurt Khurmati. Il est considéré comme l'un des fondateurs du cinéma ouzbek.Abbosov meurt dans l'hôpital du gouvernement N.1 à Tachkent le 25 avril 2018 où il était hospitalisé depuis plusieurs jours.
