Il fonde Hong Kong Reporter en 2004, une webradio dédié aux débats. En 2013, il fonde memehk.com, un site d'informations multimédia, après la fermeture de Hong Kong Reporter.
En 1987, commence à collaborer avec Tony Wong dans la création de bandes dessinées populaires telles que Zui Quan (醉拳) et Oriental Heroes (龍虎門), puis sur leur adaptation cinématographique Le Maître chinois et Dragon Tiger Gate.
En 2003, Shiu acquiert Rainbow International, une entreprise de produits amaigrissants.
Il fonde Hong Kong Reporter en 2004. Au cours des dernières années, elle devient une tribune pour des idées radicales et permet de recueillir des soutiens au parti politique People Power , y compris pour ses manifestations et activités.
Shiu est un scénariste et producteur de film dont la filmographie inclut Le Parrain de Hong Kong (1991), gagnant aux Hong Kong Film Awards. Biography
Né dans une famille de classe moyenne à Hong Kong, Shiu est le troisième de six enfants. Son père Pak-yin Shiu est un homme d'affaires dans la construction à l'étranger. Shiu étudie au St. Paul's College où il est camarade de classe de Tsang Tak-sing , futur Secrétaire des Affaires intérieures . A man called Pu Yung Tsai lives with his cousin who is a student Feng Shui and Mao Shan. Pu Yung Tsai buys an antique desk from a second-hand shop and inside is a suicide letter written by a young woman called Wei Hsiao Tieh. Every 18 years, the martial artists' community hold a martial arts contest to elect a new leader. Eva Palace's ruler wins the title and is tasked with eliminating the Ten Villains, who live in the Villains' Valley, a sanctuary for criminals. Yin Nam-tin (Eva Palace ruler's husband) believes that the villains are innocent and attempts to stop his wife from killing them. The couple turn against each other and Yin eventually manages to defeat his wife, but becomes paralyzed and mute. Eva accepts a girl called More as her disciple and intends to groom her as her successor. Meanwhile, the Ten Villains accept Yin's son (Fishy) as their student and plan to "nurture" him to become the greatest villain ever. 18 years later, the grown-up Fishy coincidentally meets More and falls in love with her. When he participates in the contest later, he is shocked to discover that Eva is actually his mother, and More is in fact Eva's student.
