Thomas Craig, (born 4 December 1962 as Craig Thompson) is a British actor best known for his work on the TV series Murdoch Mysteries, Where the Heart Is as Simon Goddard and Hidden, as Tommy Harris in Coronation Street, and in the film The Navigators, directed by Ken Loach in 2001.

Biography

Craig was originally a plumber before making the move into acting in the 1980s. He attended the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. His stage name is taken from the name of former Sheffield Wednesday player Tommy Craig.

In 1994 he appeared sporadically in the first series of Common as Muck, alongside Edward Woodward and Neil Dudgeon and he also had a brief role in the 1995 film I.D., where he played one of the Tyneburn leaders during the market fight scene, his only word then was 'Well!' when asking for a fight. He also appeared in EastEnders in 1992 as Mandy Salter's mother's boyfriend.

Also about 1994 he appeared as Aelfric in "Monk's Hood" which was an episode from the Cadfael television series starring Derek Jacobi.

He currently stars as Inspector Brackenreid in the Canadian show Murdoch Mysteries.

Un psychiatre et sa futur épouse sont harcelés par une femme qui prétend être amoureuse du psychiatre. Cette femme envoie à ce couple des SMS vulgaires et des menaces de mort. Debra Pemberton (la fiancée) reçoit le message suivant : « Tu es morte si tu ne te sépare pas de Dr. Jan Falkowski ». Le couple décide d'aller en parler à la police. La police enquête et fini par trouver la coupable dans une cabine téléphonique au bord de mer. Elle s'appelle Maria Marchese et il se trouve qu'elle a un ami, dont Jan Falkowski est le médecin. Maria est finalement innocentée, mais le couple se sépare tout de même, car Jan a une maitresse « Bethan Ancell », qu'il a fréquenté durant cette affaire. Il préférait aller voir cette femme (qui est beaucoup plus jeune que lui), au lieu de consoler sa compagne. Il décide donc de s'installer avec Bethan.
