Venkatesh Kumar. G (Tamil: வெங்கடேஷ் குமார் .ஜி;born 25 June 1981) is an Indian Film director and screenwriter working in Tamil cinema. He rose to fame with his Short Film "White Dirt" that bagged awards in International Film Festivals.He is known for his short films that are created on social awareness and now he makes his debut in Tamil film industry with his film Neelam, which is based on a fisherman's life.His recent work "Moths" won the "Best Documentary" award in Indo-Russian Film Festival New Delhi 2013. *[1]**[2]*. He Recently represented India in a 8 member Delegation team that were invited to Russia by ROSSOTRUDINCHESTVO-Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
