Wei Te-Sheng (simplified Chinese: 魏德圣; traditional Chinese: 魏德聖; pinyin: Wèi Déshèng; b. August 16, 1969 in Yongkang City, Tainan County (now part of Tainan City), Taiwan) is the director of Cape No. 7, the 2nd top-selling film in Taiwanese history. He has been obtaining both reputation and controversy because so far all of his movie featured era of Taiwan under Japanese rule in a realistic way, although that era is used to be a taboo or a implicit target of biased censorship by political pressure coming from Chinese-mind people (rather than pressure from Taiwanese-mind people).

Biography
