Yumi Okumura (奥村 由美, Okumura Yumi, born August 15, 1963), better known by the stage name Yumi Aso (麻生 祐未, Asō Yumi), is a Japanese actress. She is a niece of singer Chiyo Okumura. She married actor Toshiya Nagasawa in March 2004, and they had one child. The couple separated less than two years later, and officially divorced in 2008.

Biography

She was born in Osaka Prefecture but grew up in Nagasaki Prefecture. She graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University.

She appeared in Yojiro Takita's 1986 film Comic Magazine with Yuya Uchida and Beat Takeshi. She also appeared in Lee Sang-il's 2002 film Border Line with Tetsu Sawaki and Ken Mitsuishi.

The film follows five simultaneous, loosely linked plot lines, that intertwine and scramble together. A man (Tadanobu Asano) keeps killing his wife (Reika Hashimoto) and burying her in the woods only to find her alive, furious, and waiting for him when he returns home. A suburban family's life is disrupted when the father (Ittoku Kishibe) is permanently hypnotized into believing he is a bird and tries to learn how to fly. A trio of aimless youth pass time by burgling houses. A murderous advertising executive (Kyōko Koizumi) tries to imagine ideas for commercials. The film opens with Matsuda being uncooperative at school. We learn via a radio broadcast that he then murders his father and runs away on his bike. The next morning a drunken Kurosawa runs him over in his taxi. Feeling guilty about the accident, he is soon driving Matsuda to northern Japan. Matsuda remains uncommunicative and unfriendly.
