On December 7, 2013, ARY Films and MindWorks Media joined hands to produce Pakistani movies that intend to take the local box office to the next level. The collaboration will commence with Waar 2 and Yalghaar.

Major Mujtaba Rizvi (played by Shaan Shahid) is a former Pakistan Army officer, who took an early retirement from the service.
