Scott Free Productions is a film and television production company founded by filmmakers and brothers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott. They formed the feature film development company Percy Main Productions in 1980, naming the company after the English village Percy Main, where their father grew up. The company was renamed to Scott Free Productions in 1984. Scott Free has produced films ranging from the 2000 Hollywood blockbuster Gladiator (2000) to "smaller pictures" like Cracks (2009). Between productions of White Squall (1996) and G.I. Jane (1997), Ridley Scott reorganized the company.
Scott Free Productions has offices in London and Los Angeles. It works with Ridley Scott's larger company RSA Films by assisting directors in film and television.

During Stalin's rule of the Soviet Union in the early 1950s, Ministry of State Security (MGB) Agent and war hero Leo Demidov (Tom Hardy) uncovers a strange and brutal series of child murders. MGB leadership refuses to acknowledge the deaths as murders, however, because Soviet doctrine states that only capitalism creates serial killers. The son of Leo's partner is murdered by the serial killer, and during Leo's investigation, his wife, Raisa (Noomi Rapace), is accused of being disloyal to the state. Leo suspects that his amoral and ambitious enemy in the MGB, Vasili Nikitin, is behind the charges. Leo refuses to support the accusation, and he is forced to take a demeaning militia position in the town of Volsk. Raisa accompanies him and must work as a janitor.

In 1300 BC, Moses, a general and member of the royal family, prepares to attack the Hittite army with Prince Ramesses. A High Priestess of Sekhmet (the war goddess) divines a prophecy from animal intestines, which she relates to Ramesses' father, Seti I. He tells the two men of the prophecy, in which one (of Moses and Ramesses) will save the other and become a leader. During the attack on the Hittites, Moses saves Ramesses' life, leaving both men troubled. Later, Moses is sent to the city of Pithom to meet with the Viceroy Hegep, who oversees the Hebrew slaves. Upon his arrival, he encounters the slave Joshua, who is the descendant of Joseph, and Moses is appalled by the horrific conditions of the slaves. Shortly afterwards, Moses meets Nun, who informs him of his true lineage; he is the child of Hebrew parents who was sent by his sister Miriam to be raised by Pharaoh's daughter. Moses is stunned at the revelation and leaves angrily. However, two Hebrews also overhear Nun's story and report their discovery to Hegep.

Jane, an operative for the private intelligence firm Hiller Brood, is assigned by her boss Sharon to infiltrate The East, an underground activist, anarchist and ecologist organization that has launched several attacks against corporations in an attempt to expose their corruption. Ce projet inédit a été tourné en un jour, le 24 juillet 2010, par des internautes du monde entier et consistait à filmer un moment de leur vie afin de décrire la vie des hommes en 2010. Les utilisateurs ont dû dire ce qu'ils avaient dans leurs poches/dans leur sac, ce qu'ils aiment et ce qui leur fait peur. Les vidéos les plus intéressantes et les plus originales ont par la suite été incluses au documentaire qui rassemble plus de 1000 clips vidéos. Certains pays n'ont pas participé, notamment ceux concernés par des embargos et des sanctions américaines : l'Iran, la Syrie, Cuba, la Corée du Nord et le Myanmar. Aucun réalisateur amateur n'a été rémunéré mais leurs noms apparaissent en tant que coréalisateurs.
