Peter Parker plans to propose to Mary Jane Watson, who has just made her Broadway musical debut. A meteorite crashes near the two in Central Park, and an extraterrestrial symbiote attaches itself to Peter's moped. Harry injures his head and suffers partial amnesia, forgetting that Peter is Spider-Man and his desire for revenge. During a festival honouring Spider-Man, Marko robs an armored car. NYPD Captain George Stacy tells Peter and Aunt May that Marko was Uncle Ben's killer, and Dennis Carradine was only an accomplice. While a vengeful Peter sleeps, the symbiote bonds with him. Peter wakes up hanging from a skyscraper. His costume becomes black and his powers increase, but the symbiote brings out Peter's dark side. Wearing the new suit, Spider-Man locates Marko and battles him in a subway tunnel, reducing him to mud using water.

At school, he finds that his body can produce webs and his quickened reflexes let him avoid injury during a confrontation with bully Flash Thompson. Peter discovers he has developed superhuman speed, strength, the ability to stick to surfaces, and a heightened ability to sense danger.

Sans que ses amis et compagnons d'aventures de l'épisode 2, Bethany, Fridge et Martha, ne soient au courant, Spencer a conservé les morceaux du jeu vidéo Jumanji dans le sous-sol de la maison de sa mère. Le lendemain, ses amis, avec qui il avait rendez-vous pour un brunch, passent chez lui prendre de ses nouvelles, ne l'y trouvent pas, mais constatent que le jeu en est en cours dans la cave de Spencer : tous décident de rentrer dans Jumanji pour le sauver. Le grand-père de Spencer, Eddie, et son ami Milo Walker entendent le chahut et se laissent entraîner par inadvertance dans le jeu et deviennent deux des avatars de Jumanji. Les amis adolescents doivent aider Eddie et Milo à s’habituer à leurs avatars du jeu, les aider à retrouver Spencer et à s'échapper à nouveau de Jumanji (ce qui n'est pas une tâche facile étant donné qu'il s'agit du niveau supérieur).

The Caduceus receives a message from the Oracle, and the Nebuchadnezzar ventures out so Neo can contact her. One of the Caduceus crew, Bane, encounters Agent Smith, who takes over Bane's avatar. Smith then uses this avatar to leave the Matrix, gaining control of Bane's real body.

Four years after the disaster at Jurassic Park, the wealthy Bowman family makes an excursion to the island of Isla Sorna during a yachting cruise. The incident allows Peter Ludlow, John Hammond's nephew, to gain control of his uncle's company InGen, which is in severe financial straits after the events at Jurassic Park. Hammond contacts Ian Malcolm and explains that Isla Sorna is the island where the dinosaurs were engineered and nurtured before being moved to Isla Nublar, Jurassic Park's location. He also explains that after the park was shut down, Isla Sorna was abandoned during a hurricane and the dinosaurs left to survive in the wild, where they have been inexplicably thriving. Hammond asks Malcolm to join a team that will travel to Isla Sorna to document the dinosaurs in order to rally public support against human interference on the island. Ian initially declines but, after learning that his girlfriend, paleontologist Sarah Harding, is part of the team and is already on the island, he agrees to go.

À sa mort, une vidéo est diffusée dans laquelle il explique qu'il léguera son immense fortune, 500 milliards de dollars, ainsi que sa société, GSS, à la personne qui réussira à trouver l’easter egg (« œuf de Pâques ») caché dans l'OASIS. Wade Watts, un jeune orphelin de 18 ans vivant à Columbus, est un fin connaisseur de Halliday et de l'OASIS, via son avatar Parzival, Wade va tout tenter pour trouver l’œuf. Il devra faire face à la multinationale Innovative Online Industries (IOI) et son PDG, Nolan Sorrento, prêt à tout pour prendre le contrôle du monde virtuel. Wade pourra compter sur l'aide de plusieurs alliés dans l'OASIS, notamment la mystérieuse Art3mis.

Six ans après les événements du premier film (Les Mondes de Ralph), Ralph La Casse et Vanellope restent toujours les meilleurs amis du monde et s'amusent chaque nuit à jouer ensemble. Alors que Ralph est heureux de la vie qu'il a, Vanellope avoue être ennuyée par son jeu, qui est trop prévisible, et aimerait de la nouveauté. Un jour, Ralph essaie d'exaucer son souhait en créant une course bonus dans l'un des circuits. Vanellope va contre la joueuse de la borne d'arcade pour profiter de la course à fond, tant et si bien que la joueuse, en forçant trop sur le volant, le casse. La situation paraît désespérée lorsque le propriétaire de la salle d'arcade, M. Litwak, annonce que le créateur de Sugar Rush a fait faillite, quand l'un des adolescents trouve un volant sur eBay. Cependant, M. Litwak le trouve trop cher et n'a d'autre choix que de débrancher la borne de Sugar Rush, laissant tous les personnages du jeu sans abri.
