Creator Nispal Singh

Surinder Films was formed by Surinder Singh and started as a film distribution company in 1970.

In 1995 his son Nispal Singh joined Surinder Films and transformed it into one of the biggest Media and Entertainment houses in Eastern India.

SF currently works with films and television. The film section has three divisions: Production, Distribution and Exhibition. The distribution division has released over 200 Hindi films in Eastern India in addition to its home productions.

In the Television section, SF has produced prime-time shows for Star Jalsa, Zee Bangla, Rupashi Bangla and Mahua Bangla. Their previous shows include Ekhane Aakash Neel, Khushi, Dhanni Meye, and Ghore Pherar Gaan.

Shuvo (Dev) works as a collection agent of ICICI in Kolkata and leads a happy life along with his friends and his father Dibakar Burman (Mithun Chakraborty) who wishes to see Shuvo married to a girl soon. Once Shuvo rushes to a Hospital where his friend is admitted as he tried to commit suicide by drinking nail polish solution and asks the reason for it. Then he describes about the traits of Maria (Koel Mallick) and her uncle (Kharaj Mukherjee). The duo have a habit of cheating gullible young men including his friend and Shuvo decides to teach them a lesson.

The whole film is narrated by the protagonist of the film Bonny Sengupta who is running back to confess his love to his cousin Koushani Mukherjee. Bonny and Koushani quarrel since their childhood which starts from the time of the latter's birth itself. Koushani is the daughter of Kharaj Mukherjee, the younger brother of Bonny's mother. Kharaj Mukherjee, his family and his parents live in a mansion while Bonny and his widowed mother (Tulika Bose) live in a small house exactly beside the mansion in a modernized yet naturally scenic village.

Feluda (Abir Chatterjee) and his cousin Topshe (Sourav Das) visit Lucknow with Topshe's father (Deepankar De) to spend the Puja vacation. They arrive at the house of Dhirendra Kumar Sanyal (Biswajit Chakraborty), a friend of Topshe's father. That evening Dr. Shrivastav (Bharat Kaul) also comes to Dhirendra Kumar Sanyal and tells him that last night, a thief tried to steal his 'Ring of Aurangzeb' (The Emperor's Ring) which was given to him by Pyarilaal Seth. After the incident Dr. Shrivastav is afraid and asks Dhirendra Kumar Sanyal to keep the ring safe. Sanyal agrees and keeps the ring at his home. But one day the ring goes missing from there. Then Feluda and Topshe start investigating, to find the culprit.
