The film features Sharmila Tagore, Javed Jaffrey, Anant Mahadevan, Girish Karnad, Benjamin Gilani, Rushad Rana, Andrea Tully, and Pia Shah in supporting roles. In March 2008, the cast and crew filmed in Calgary, Canada. It was previously called Tasveer, but changed due to the director's insistence that the title was jinxed. The film's music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman with a title track by Bohemia.
Synopsis
Jai Puri (Akshay Kumar) is a forest ranger in the woods near Alberta, Canada. Jai lives in a cabin with his girlfriend Sheila (Ayesha Takia Azmi), but has been estranged from his parents, Jatin (Benjamin Gilani) and Savitri Puri (Sharmila Tagore). Jatin is the CEO of a privately held Canadian oil company, Canoil.Actors

Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small-time thief in Mumbai who falls in love with Paro (Sonakshi Sinha). He tells her the truth about being a thief and resolves to give up crime because he loves Paro dearly. Before that, he decides to commit a large robbery along with his con-friend 2G (Paresh Ganatra), which would enable him to earn a lot of money; hence he can give up crime. He "tricks" a woman on a railway station (Gurdeep Kohli) and flees with a trunk. This leads Shiva to Chinki, a little girl who was in the trunk instead of the wealth he thought was there. Chinki thinks that he is her father. Puzzled, he is forced to keep Chinki with him, as a police officer (Yashpal Sharma) keeps his eye on him.

The film opens at in media res where street fighting issues are raised in Mumbai. Sports chairman Peter Braganza (Kiran Kumar) expresses his desires of making street fighting a legal sport and decides to open a league called Right 2 Fight (R2F). Meanwhile, in prison, Garson "Gary" Fernandes (Jackie Shroff), a recovering alcoholic, is released from his jail term and his younger foster son Monty (Sidharth Malhotra) comes to pick him up. Monty gets a bit enraged when his father asks about his elder son David (Akshay Kumar) and takes him away to their home. David, now a physics teacher, who has a daughter suffering from a kidney disease, arranges money through street fights. This enrages his wife Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez) as she is worried about David. Meanwhile, Gary, who misses his wife Maria (Shefali Shah), starts hallucinating about her. Gary then tries to meet David but the latter ends up throwing Monty and Gary out of his house in rage.

Akbar (Dileep) is happily married to Raziya (Meera Jasmine). Akbar goes to the Persian Gulf for employment. There he befriends Raghu Rama Iyer (Vineeth) and John Kuruvilla (Biju Menon). The three become firm friends. Akbar loans some money to another Indian called Haneefa working with them. Haneefa absconds with the money and all efforts to get back the money goes in vain. During a fight with Haneefa, Akbar hits him but misses and accidentally kills Raghu. He is now facing the death penalty. In 1995, during the Kashmir conflict, Hilaal Meer, a doctor, agrees to perform an appendectomy on the leader of a pro-separatist group. To avoid detection, he performs the surgery at his house, much to the chagrin of his wife Ghazala, who questions his allegiance. The following day, during a military raid, Hilaal is accused of harbouring terrorists. A shootout ensues at his home, during which the leader of the separatist group is killed and Hilaal is taken away for questioning. The doctor's house is bombed subsequently to kill any other militant hiding inside. Several days later, Hilaal and Ghazala's son, Haider, returns from his university to seek answers about his father's disappearance. Upon arrival, he is shocked to find his mother singing and laughing along with her brother-in-law, Khurram. Unable to understand his mother's behaviour, he begins searching for his father in various police stations and detention camps with the help of his fiancee Arshia, a journalist.

Lallu (Akshay Kumar) is an orphan who was separated from his parents and his brother as a child and has been brought up by foster parents. He travels to Bombay to look for a job and starts working as a loyal servant for rich businessman Jamna Das (Avtar Gill). One day he discovers Jamna Das's daughter Sunita (Mamta Kulkarni) drunk in a nightclub and takes her home. Jamna Das realises how loyal Lallu is and how he never took advantage of Sunita in her drunken state decides to get them married. Sunita immediately refuses as she is in love with Amit (Mohnish Behl). When Jamna Das suddenly dies of a heart attack, his will and testament reveals that Sunita must get married to Lallu or she will not be entitled to any of his wealth and estate. Seeing no other option she marries Lallu but decides to have him killed with the help of Amit so that she can inherit all of her father's wealth. Sunita and Amit succeed in their plan to kill Lallu by poisoning him, putting him into a car, and crashing it to make it look like an accident. His death is considered suspicious, and the case is assigned to Inspector Vijay Kumar (also Akshay Kumar), who is a lookalike of the supposedly deceased Lallu.

The principal character is a 25-year-old woman named Ananya (Ayesha Takia). Raja (Akshay Kumar), a good for nothing trying to get rich, impersonates Parimal Chaturvedi, a school professor and involves into a school of beautiful rich woman. Prakash is also on Rocky's payroll. Prakash asks Raja for help, so Raja impersonates Rocky to get his secrets and Prakash's money. But tables are turned when Rocky finds out about Raja's game. Raja wakes up and finds himself kidnapped in Rocky's mansion. He then realizes he has been drugged for the past 7 days, and in these 7 days, Rocky has posed as Raja and is getting married to Pooja. Raja is tricked and arrested under the name of Rocky. Raja manages to escape and crashes the wedding where he tells the truth and Rocky escapes. Raja follows him to an multi-story building where the two fight brutally. Rocky is in the lead and knocks Raja out. Raja uses full power to get back up and pushes Rocky off the building, who falls to his death. Raja and Pooja then get married.

The story follows Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya), the son of a marriage bureau owner Champak Lal (Manoj Joshi (actor)). Since he has grown up, Mansukh tries to help his father in the business, however all the alliances he had tried to get done have resulted in separation even before the marriage took place. To prove his worth to his father, he takes up an unusual challenge of getting an underworld don Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar's (Mithun Chakraborty), spoilt brat sister Indu (Asin Thottumkal) getting married to a cop called Bahattar Singh (Akshay Kumar) aka Khiladi 786 in Punjab. He convinces Tatya to pretend to be a cop to make Bahattar agree to the marriage. But little did the over enthusiast Mansukh know that Bahattar Singh, along with his father Sattar Singh (Raj Babbar) and his uncle Ikhattar Singh (Mukesh Rishi) were not cops but a family of conmen. The story takes a shape as the two hardcore families pretend to be policemen in front of each other and the beans from each side can be spilled anytime which can be life threatening for Mansukh. And to make the situation worse, it turns out that Indu has a boyfriend, Azad (Rahul Singh), who is a criminal locked up in jail. When Bahattar finds out, he helps Azad escape from jail to make Indu happy. But no sooner does Indu realize that she truly loves Bahattar.
