Aal (English: Single Person) is a 2014 Tamil thriller film written and directed by Aanand Krishna and produced by Vidiyal Raju. It stars Vidharth and Harthika Shetty in the lead roles. The background score and soundtrack were composed by Johan. The film was released on 19 September, 2014. The film is a remake of 2008 Hindi film Aamir.

Synopsis

It is about the life of an Ordinary man Facing an extraordinary Situation in a Single day.The story starts in sikkim and travels with an grip towards the climax in chennai.The film screens about how the youngsters are bought to the terrorism.Amir(vidharth) is an intelligent professor who has already been in love with meenakshi(hardika shetty) works in sikkim , when he visits back to chennai he was threatened to join in terrorism by capturing his family and lover, then the extraordinary things happen in one day is shown very thrilling and makes the audience to sit in edge of seat with what happens next screenplay.Aal is an good movie which receives good reviews from the critics but fails to do in box office collections.

The film starts with an imprisoned Suruli (Vidharth) recalling his love for Mynaa (Amala Paul) since childhood that becomes more intense as they grow. Though Mynaa's mother assures Suruli of getting them married, she changes her mind and arranges for Mynaa to marry a man working in Dubai. Infuriated, Suruli threatens to kill her. He is arrested by the police and given a 15-day prison sentence. Mynaa's mother arranges the marriage a day before his release and Suruli escapes from prison. As the police officer Bhaskar (Sethu) and a constable Ramaiah (Thambi Ramaiah) handcuff Suruli, Mynaa too goes along with him as they decide to get married after he is released from prison.

The film opens with T.P (Tony Fish), one of the senior counselors at a camp, is telling a scary story around a campfire to the young campers and the other counselors - who consist of Betsy (Gaylen Ross), Ellie (Jan Claire), Dave (Seth Jones), Stacy (Harriet Bass), Bill (Alexander Murphy Jr.), and Max (Carl Fredericks); the late middle-aged head counselor. After T.P. finishes his story, Max begins to tell of a man named Madman Marz, who killed his whole family with an axe was convicted by being hung for his crimes, only to break free and disappear into the woods. Max continues by saying that anyone who says his name will awaken him and cause him to track and kill that person. Richie (Jimmy Steele), a cocky teenager, stands up and screams Marz's name, smashing a rock into his old house. Max, annoyed at Richie, ends the campfire and sends everyone to their cabins, while he goes into town to retrieve supplies. Richie notices Madman Marz up in a tree, and follows him to his house, where he investigates. As Max and Dave try to retrieve a felling axe that is stuck into a log, everyone heads inside their cabins. Chef Dippy (Michael Sulliva) is killed by Marz outside.

However, when she looks at the trashbin at her office, she decides to dismember the burglar's corpse and throw the parts away in various locations of the city.
