Synopsis
This is a retelling of Adam and Eve's story (as found in the first three chapters of the Book of Genesis) from Dog's point of view. Dog is shown in the Garden of Eden, exploring its environment and encountering various animals. Its doggy nature is revealed in various scenes from territory marking to barking at a passing mastodon to attempting to befriend a lemur. One day in the savanna, it encounters the newly created Adam who is also exploring Eden. Adam feeds Dog some grains, pets it and moves on. The next day, Adam is high up on a tree, interacting with a bird, when Dog sees him again. Adam tosses down a fruit to Dog and climbs down. He is surprised that Dog is fascinated by the branch (now stripped of fruit) he is holding. When he throws the branch away, Dog fetches it back. Dog is excited when Adam (who knows all animal languages) barks like it. They become friends and explore Eden together. One day, Dog sees Adam with a new creature, Eve with long red hair. Dog attempts to interest Adam in a game of fetch but Adam throws the stick extremely far away in order to get rid of Dog. When Dog returns with the stick, Adam and Eve are gone. Dog waits all day for him to return. At night, Dog (with stick) wanders Eden and sees a panther with a dead rabbit in its mouth. It starts to rain. Dog then sees Adam and Eve, wearing clothes, running through the forest. He chases after them, barking joyously but when Adam turns around, his face is so distorted and sinister, Dog runs away terrified. Other animals also flee them. Adam and Eve stop and stand facing away from each other. They look ashamed, dejected and alone. The next day, Adam and Eve emerge from Eden and enters a bleak desert. They are clothed in rough animal fur. Dog sees them leave, takes a step out of Eden, pauses and then returns to Eden. It then dashes out with the stick in its mouth and runs towards them. In the last scene, Dog lays the stick at a surprised Adam's feet. Adam kneels down and pets Dog and tells Eve who Dog is. Eve kneels down in front of Dog and hugs and kisses it. Adam and Eve walk off together. They are holding hands and so close they seem like one person. Dog walks right by their side.Comments

At the airport Marjane Satrapi (Chiara Mastroianni) is unable to board a plane to Iran. She then takes a seat and smokes. She looks back at her childhood. She remembers the good and bad times with her family, especially all the political issues going on. As a young girl, Marji lived in Tehran and wanted to be a prophet and a disciple of Bruce Lee. Her childhood ambition is the general uprising against the Shah of Iran. Her middle-class family participates in all the rallies and protests. Marji wants to have pride in her future. Marji and a group of friends attempt to attack a young boy whose father, a member of SAVAK, killed Communists for no particular reason. One day, Marji's Uncle Anoush arrives to have dinner with the family after recently being released from his nine-year sentence in prison. Uncle Anoush inspires Marji with his stories of his life on the run from the government, a result of rebelling.

Le roi et sorcier Kans règne en tyran sur le royaume de Mathura et ambitionne de conquérir le monde. Pour mettre fin à son règne sanguinaire, les dieux décident d'incarner sur Terre Vishnu, qui naît sous la forme de Krishna, fils de Devaki, la sœur de Kans. Le bébé, neveu du tyran, vient au monde dans le village de Vrindavan, où il est adopté par le chef du village, Nanda, qui l'élève au même titre que son propre fils un peu plus âgé, Balram. Krishna grandit dans la bonne humeur et devient un petit garçon facétieux, qui en fait voir de toutes les couleurs à sa mère et est toujours prêt à jouer un tour aux gopis, les gardiennes de vaches qui le surveillent. Mais il se signale très tôt par ses exploits miraculeux, et la musique de sa flûte charme hommes et bêtes. Krishna se lie surtout avec une petite fille de son âge, Radha (sa future épouse dans la mythologie hindoue), mais se lie aussi d'amitié plusieurs garçons, dont Madhumangal. Il peut aussi compter sur l'aide du singe Dabiloba et de l'agnelle Hamsi. Krishna doit bientôt venir en aide aux gens du royaume et affronter les périls surnaturels que lui envoie Kans, principalement les démons Trinavarta, Bakasur et Putna. Mais, voyant Krishna vaincre sans peine chacun de ses envoyés, Kans finit par le défier en duel dans le colisée de sa capitale. Plusieurs chansons ponctuent le film.

In 1976, eight-year-old Mary Daisy Dinkle (Bethany Whitmore) lives a lonely life in Mount Waverley, Australia.
