Synopsis

Korean gangster Han Ki-Chul (Lee Beom-soo) is put in charge by his Big Boss of looking after Lim Aryong (Shu Qi) who comes from Hong Kong. They expect Lim Aryong to be some big male gangster but she turns out to be a woman and acts very cold toward him and his associates. Moreover none of them speak her language and she doesn't understand Korean. A translator called Yeon-Hee (Hyun Young) arrives. She is immature and very scared of the gangsters so at the beginning, instead of translating Aryong's rather rude answers, she changes them to nice ones. Quickly, Aryong shows her fighting skills beating other bosses to save her companions. Ki-Chul and his associates who are rather unskilled, are impressed and become afraid of her while, upon finding that they are actually nice, she's trying to be more friendly. Her efforts are ruined by Yeon-Hee who, taking advantage of Aryoung's aura, 'translates' very threatening sentences.

En 1929, Emma est devenue l'une des banquières les plus appréciées de Paris. Mais sa fulgurante réussite lui attire entre autres l'antipathie du puissant banquier Horace Vannister, qui est une réplique du banquier Horace Finaly ; celui-ci intervient auprès du Président du Conseil Préfailles, qui est une réplique de Raymond Poincaré, pour faire interdire les activités d'Emma Eckhert, qui est une réplique de Marthe Hanau et la poursuivre en justice. Celle-ci finit par être assassinée au cours d'un meeting où elle expliquait aux épargnants qui lui avaient fait confiance, comment elle allait les rembourser.

Corinne Burns is a seventeen-year-old girl whose mother has recently died from lung cancer. Working in a fast food restaurant to help support herself and her younger sister, Corinne is interviewed by a local television station for a story about her town's dwindling economy. During the interview, Corinne becomes angry and belligerent towards the reporter, eventually lashing out at her boss and getting fired.
