Aisha is a 2010 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Rajshree Ojha, starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol in the lead roles and Cyrus Sahukar, Arunoday Singh, Ira Dubey and Amrita Puri in supporting roles. Set in the upper class society of Delhi, India. The film is based on the novel Emma_(novel). The film released on 6 August 2010, to a moderate critical response, eventually becoming an "average" grosser at the box office.
Synopsis
Aisha (Sonam Kapoor) is a girl who believes she is perfectly suited for match-making – amongst her friends in particular. She is constantly criticized by her friend/neighbor Arjun (Abhay Deol) who advises her to stop meddling with others lives. She is unperturbed and carries on. She tries to make a match between her small town friend Shefali (Amrita Puri) and one of her friend's, a well to do sweet shop owner Randhir (Cyrus Sahukar). Aisha creates various circumstances to make Shefali and Randhir fall in love. On one such circumstance, she meets her aunt's step-son Dhruv Singh (Arunoday Singh). In the mean time, Arjun introduces to Aisha and her friends, one of his work colleagues Aarti Menon (Lisa Haydon) from New York. Aisha constantly gets annoyed by the presence of Aarti.Actors

Mohit Chadha (Ayushmann Khurrana) learns how to drive a car on the morning of his promotion from Junior Executive in Marketing to Senior Executive. At the beginning of the film, Kabir (Abhay Deol) proposes to Natasha (Kalki Koechlin). The film starts in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, where a coach says "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag!" The story is taken back to the memories of the childhood days of a young boy which haunted him, resulting in him dropping to fourth. Partition of India in 1947 caused chaos which resulted in mass religious violence in Punjab in British India, killing the parents of Milkha Singh (Farhan Akhtar). He reaches Delhi and later meets his sister there. Living in impoverished refugee camps, Milkha soon makes friends and survives by stealing along with his friends. He falls in love with Biro (Sonam Kapoor), but she asks him to live a life of honesty.
