Synopsis
Richard (Daniel Auteuil), Gilles (Gérard Jugnot) et Philippe (François Berléand) sont des amis de cinquante ans. Richard est riche et, on l'apprend au milieu du film, il a été quitté six mois plus tôt par sa femme. Il est depuis heureux avec Daphné (Mélanie Doutey), sa cadette d'une trentaine d'années qui est ophtalmologue. À l'occasion des vacances, il loue dans le Vieux-Port de Marseille un superbe voilier en bois de trente huit mètres de long et invite ses deux amis et leurs compagnes, Astrid (Zabou Breitman) qui est avec Philippe et gagne confortablement sa vie dans la communication et Carole (Isabelle Gélinas) la femme de Gilles avec laquelle il a deux enfants. Embarquent aussi sur le bateau, le skipper Batistou (Jean-Philippe Ricci), corse à l'accent prononcé et amateur de guitare, et sa sœur qui fait office de stewart.Actors

Dans le Vieux-Port de Marseille, César tient le bar de la Marine, avec son fils Marius. Cependant, le jeune homme rêve d'embarquer sur l'un des bateaux, qui passent devant le bar, pour partir vers des pays lointains. Fanny, une jeune et jolie marchande de coquillages, est secrètement amoureuse de Marius depuis des années. Ce dernier est lui aussi épris de la jeune femme, mais n'a jamais su lui avouer. Pour retenir Marius de ses envies de voyage, Fanny déclare son amour à Marius et le rend jaloux par le biais d'un vieil ami de César, Honoré Panisse, qui, bien que beaucoup plus âgé, courtise Fanny. Malgré son désir de partir, Marius renonce à ses projets et décide de choisir Fanny. Contre toute attente, Marius cède à l'appel de la mer et embarque avec l'aide de Fanny qui préfère le voir heureux loin d'elle plutôt qu'insatisfait auprès d'elle.

Alors qu'il flirtait avec son assistante au bord du canal à Aix-en-Provence, Christian Lespinglet (Gérard Jugnot), marchand de tableaux de son état et néanmoins surendetté, sauve la vie d’un SDF (Gérard Depardieu) qui tentait de se noyer. Jacques Mazel, the son of a wealthy merchant, and Patricia Amoretti, daughter of a well-digger, live in a small village in the Provence region of France while Europe is at the brink of World War I. She has just turned 18 and is smitten with the handsome Jacques when he carries her across a stream to bring lunch to her father who is digging a well. After their second encounter Jacques, a French Air Force pilot, is unexpectedly reassigned. He must leave immediately to replace a pilot who recently broke his leg. Because he cannot meet Patricia as planned the next morning, he leaves an explanatory letter for her but his overly protective mother burns the letter. Patricia concludes Jacques rejected her because they come from different social classes. Later, Patricia discovers that Jacques has left her with child. The parents of Jacques reject the idea that their son conceived a child out of wedlock and refuse to acknowledge the baby. Her father, who had idolized her, sends Patricia to live with his sister in another village to spare his four other daughters from learning of the illegitimate child. Patricia declines an offer of marriage from her father's friend, Félipe, partly because her younger sister, Amanda, has a crush on him. Eventually, Jacques, who was thought to have been shot down by the Germans, returns from a POW camp and learns he has a son.

Après leur réussite au baccalauréat, les élèves du cours Louis XIV prennent des vacances bien méritées. Mais Bébel se fait larguer à l'aéroport par sa nouvelle conquête Jennifer avec laquelle il comptait partir en voyage. A Japanese minister of defence is traveling to Paris to sign a weapons contract between Japan and France, but first, he is visiting Marseille to view and rate the city police's anti-gang tactics (using fake attacks on him). During the visit, however, he is kidnapped by a group working for the Japanese yakuza. Emilien (Frédéric Diefenthal) is determined to rescue the minister and detective Petra (Emma Sjöberg), his girlfriend who was also kidnapped, and restore the honour of his department. Once again, speed demon taxi-driver Daniel (Samy Naceri) is called upon to save the day with his high-speed driving skills.

The gendarmes of St. Tropez are invited to New York City to a law enforcement conference. They are supposed to travel alone without spouses or children but Cruchot's daughter Nicole wants to go to New York as it may be her only chance. Cruchot forbids her to go because disobeying an order may hurt his career. As Cruchot travels to Le Havre by plane and train, Nicole gets a ride from her friend and sneaks onboard SS France and travels to America as a stowaway. During the journey Cruchot sees her hiding among the lifeboats but his captain convinces him that he is imagining things.

A Belgian criminal, wanted all over Europe for his crimes, is in the custody of the Police Department of Marseille to be watched for a few hours before transfer to a prison in Congo. Unfortunately Émilien (Frédéric Diefenthal) is tricked by the villain and convinced to let the prisoner go. After these events he's fired, but luckily for him, his friend Daniel (Samy Naceri) helps him one more time by telling him the location where the criminal is located, having been the taxi driver who drove him after he left the police station, not knowing he was a criminal. With Daniel's skills and his new Peugeot 407, Émillen seeks to capture the criminal to restore his job back.
