Synopsis
Following a gang fight, biker Angel (Don Stroud) calls it quits and leaves his gang, the Nomads, in pursuit of a new life. He meets hippie community leader Jonathan Tremaine (Luke Askew), who is running from the anti-hippie townsfolk. Angel is quick to fall in love with another hippie, Merilee (Tyne Daly). When the situation becomes too tough to handle, Angel is forced to ask the Nomads to help out the hippies. They agree to, but their ineptitude to fight calls for him to face the scathing village people alone.Actors

The Trans-America Grand Prix is an illegal race held every year between Los Angeles (Santa Monica Pier) and New York City. Recently released from jail, where he was serving a sentence for killing a girl while driving drunk, racing driver Coy "Cannonball" Buckman (David Carradine) hopes to win the race and get his career back on track. The film is a drama set in World War II, following a group of United States Marines from boot camp to combat (6th Marines, 2d Marine Division). It depicts the forming of comradeships and the relentless training which the battalion, led by Major "High Pockets" Huxley, has to undergo. In two battles (Guadalcanal and Tarawa), the battalion is used only for mop-up duties, but after an out-of-line argument between "High Pockets" and the commanding general, they are used as lead battalion in the battle for Saipan, suffering heavy casualties as they land on the exposed left flank of Red Beach. Huxley is killed and as they watch his body being carried off the field his grim-faced men fix bayonets ready to meet a Japanese counter-attack.
