Bagavathi (Vijay), owns a tea shop cum hotel near Chennai High court. He lives with the aim of bringing up his younger brother Guna (Jai) as a doctor. He befriends a modern girl Anjali (Reemma Sen) while giving a refill to her. She doesn't know that the refill is valuable for Bagavathy and so casually throws it. He admonishes her for that and with the help of a receptionist gets it back. Anjali initially thinks that he is stingy. But later when she sees him helping a lady whose daughter has gone into labour and subsequently beaten up by a policeman, she gains some respect. Soon Bagavathy finds out that Anjali is the daughter of a Judge who is his friend. Guna has a girlfriend Priya with whom he accidentally develops a physical relationship. Guna hides this news from his brother. Guna's love is objected by Priya's father Easwarapandiyan (Ashish Vidyarthi) fearing for the loss of his status and name in society. Soon, in a college function, some goons sent by Easwarapandiyan beat up Guna. Bagavathy finds him and takes him to hospital. He takes the help of his friend Anand(Yugendran Vasudevan Nair) to safeguard his brother from the atrocities of Easwarapandiyan. Bagavathy, to fulfill his brother's wish, tries to convince Priya's father. Easwarapandiyan humilitates him by masking him polish his shoes. Bagavathy does so but despite that Easwarapandiyan says that Guna will die. Guna attempts to marry Priya even without the knowledge of his brother. But Priya's father collapses the marriage and Guna is killed in front of Bagavathy. Anand is also killed after trying to defend Guna.

Shiva (Githan Ramesh) is the only son of a rich businessman (Avinash). He grows up surrounded by money and he is not cared for by his parents, due to his mother dying when he was a young boy and his father is business-minded and only cares about his money. Shiva and his friends are a playful bunch, they do not study and they mainly do lots of sport. Priya (Saloni), who also goes to the college (the college was created and run by Shiva's family) that Shiva goes to, is the daughter of a cow herder and a gangster Mayandi (Lal). Priya keeps her distance from Shiva, but as the film progresses it is inevitable that they become friends. Their friendship then develops into romance, but this love is opposed by both their parents. Both their parents try to separate them, they try to get them married of to different people. They eventually run away together, and a hit man is after Priya's life (hired by Shiva's father). In a confrontation with the hit-man Shiva gets wounded and defeats the hit-man, he then storms into his father's office and throws the hit-man at him. He then informs his father of his wedding in front of the district court. His father turns up with a large battalion of police officers, while Shiva turns up with a much large number of students. The film ends with their wedding successfully happening, and Mayandi gives his blessings.

Ragava (Jai) and Vishnu Priya (Nazriya Nazim) are travelling in the train from Chennai to Coimbatore under the identities Abu Backer and Aayisha. Ragava acquires the identity of Abu as he gets a ticket reserved in that name and Priya acquires the identity of Aayisha as she is impersonating her Muslim friend for a project. Abu/Ragava helps her from a stalker and in course falls in love with her. She too develops feelings for him. Back in Chennai, they start to get to know each other. They assume that the other person is a Muslim. But soon Priya feels guilty and asks Ragava to keep away from her. Saddened by this, Ragava meets a Unani doctor Showkhat Ali (Jamal) and learns about Islam just for the sake of Aayisha. Showkhat's daughter Naseema (Heebah Patel) falls in love with Ragava, assuming him to be Abu Backer. On the day of Ramzan, Priya confesses her love to Ragava and they start a relationship. Under certain circumstances, they both come to know about their true identities. Though their family arrange their marriage, they feel that they had true love only for their Muslim counterparts. On the day of their marriage, they break up and move away. Meanwhile, Naseema comes to know about Ragava's marriage and her cousin Ashraff (Dinesh) plans for revenge. Ragava and Priya attend Priya's friend Aayisha's marriage and they feel that they still have love for each other. As Ragava leaves the venue, Ashraff and his friends beat him up. Naseema stops them and confesses that only she had mistaken Ragava. Priya notices the brawl, realizes her love and hugs Ragava. Finally, they both get married.

Sundar (Srikanth) moves in with his brother's family, consisting of his brother, sister-in-law Arundathi (Sangeetha) and their daughter Aishwarya (Ramya). Arundathi tries her best to end Sundar's relationship with Anandi while subtly hinting to Sundar about her love for him. Anandi tries to warn Sundar about his conniving sister-in-law, but Arundathi succeeds in her plan. Did Sundar get together with Anandi or not is rest of the plot.

Two villages in Thanjavur area are always at loggerheads with each other and it spills even to T20 cricket match between kids from both the villages. Arikki @ Arivazhagan (Vimal) is a wayward son of Lakshmi (Saranya Ponvannan) who is in awe at the same time fears him. Her husband Ramasamy (Ilavarasu) is away in Dubai and a large part of the money he sends home is taken away by Arikki using extortionist methods like threatening to break the TV set at home. He yet to pass his 12th standard spends his time in bars with his friends, teases girls and asks them to profess their love for him, and gets into brawls after conning others. He meets Maheshwari (Oviya) and wants her to declare her love for him, which she finally confesses. He abducts her and they eventually marry. Her brother Ilango (Thirumurugan) is a tough guy who has an axe to grind against Arikki and his gang, which leads to the twist in the climax. The brother fuming with rage is out to slice him into pieces. But does he do that? And if he didn't, how did Vimal manage to avert that? All this is answered in an interesting climax that is pleasantly humorous.

John (Arya) and Regina (Nayantara) marry reluctantly at a church. They have agreed to the marriage just to make their parents happy. When they take their wedding vows Regina utters her lover's name, "Surya". Upon hearing this, Regina's father (Sathyaraj) faints in the church. Vinayagam (Ajith) is a brave person living in a village called Oddanchatram, who lives with his four brothers Murugan (Bala), Shanmugam (Vidharth), Kumaran (Suhail) and Senthil (Munish). The elder brother loves the younger ones to the core, and sacrifices his happiness for their good. They are often caught in fights and they are proud of it. Advocate Bail Perumal (Santhanam), who bails them out whenever legal issues arise because of their brawls. Vinayagam hates the idea of marriage as he feels that his wife might create disharmony among brothers. Though the four younger brothers say that they don't want to either fall in love or get married, when Vinayagam is not around, they all have their secret lovers. Now, in order to get the green light for their love stories, they learn through his brother's childhood friend Collector Subbu (Ramesh Kanna) that Vinayakam, in school, was in love with a girl named Koppuram Devi (fondly called Kopu) and his brothers hatch a plan to find her and reintroduce her to Vinayakam, so he can fall for her all over again. But she's married now and has kids. So the brothers conspire to do the most logical thing, which is to find another woman named Koppuram Devi (fondly called Kopu), because, you see, Vinayakam was not in love with that girl so much as her name, and when he meets another (completely random) girl with that name, he is sure to lose his heart to her, just because she bears that name. Though initially reluctant later Vinayakam himself falls in love with her. He clashes with a goon called Vanangamudi (Pradeep Rawat) to take care of market in the village. Vanangamudi tries to kill Vinayagam's brothers while Vinayagam kidnaps Vanangamudi's son (Amit Kumar Tiwari) after clashing, Vinayagam orders Vanangamudi to leave this village.
