Synopsis
Raj is the only son of the rich man Seth Gopal Das. He has lived his childhood and teenage very lonely as his mother died when he was a child.Raj starts drinking in his adulthood and also distances himself from his father gradually.Raj starts living in a palatial bunglow, in the same city where Seth Gopal Das has his residence.Raj occasionally comes to the residence, the main bunglow where Seth Gopal Das lives.On a trip to a snowy mountain, Raj gets to meet a girl named Rupa. He manages to protect Rupa from entering into flesh trade.Then he decides to drop her to her home but due to bad condition of roads is forced to stay in a cottage with her. As the weather becomes cold, Raj develops shivering and to protect him, Rupa decides to blow air from her mouth into his and embrace him.By doing this she manages to revive him.In the morning, Raj says she should have not done such a thing for his well being in the night.Rupa says, she was grateful to him as he had saved her from being forced to sell her body, so she didn't mind doing what she eventually did.Hearing this Raaj becomes happy and enquires, she lives with whom, she says she is alone in that area as she has to send money to her dad in distant village.Raj asks her will she like to stay with him and then she agrees to join him. Also while being in love with Raj, Rupa makes him promise her that he won't take to drinking with her being alive in his life. After he reaches his home, he gets to meet Bihari and comes to know that Bihari has come on his father's order, to take him to his dad's residence as some guests are going to arrive .Raj agrees to come in the evening for dinner and there he notices that his dad has fixed his engagement with another girl.Raj comes to know that Gopal Das fixed marriage with daughter of Jamuna Das, as he was going to get huge amount in form of dowry for his son's wedding and he is in dire need of money, thanks to the incident of one of his ships drowned in the sea and it was not covered by insurance poicy taken by Gopal's company.Raj disagrees to marry Jamuna Das' daughter. Bihari discloses to Gopal Das, that the reason for Raj refusing to marry the girl of his choice is because Raj has brought a girl to his house and is interested in marrying her. Gopal Das decides to meet Rupa personally and he tells about the financial problem he is into and how Raj's marriage with the girl of his choice would help both him and Raj.Gopal asks Rupa is she not more concerned about Raj's welfare and if she is, then she should not marry him and convince her to marry the other girl.Actors

Renukadevi is widowed and the mother of a son named Ram. Her husband had indulged in all possible vices, and died. Her father-in-law, Rai, does not want Ram to repeat his father's mistakes, and teaches him all the positive values of the Hindu religion, in particular the contents of the Holy Book "Geeta". As a result, Ram refrains from all known vices, is an expert in yogic exercises, decides to live the life of a celibate, and refuses to marry anyone. When Rai dies, Renuka asks Ram to fulfill his grandfather's last wishes, one of which was to get married. She even arranges his introduction to Aarti, an attractive young woman. But Ram is convinced that marriage is not for him. Renuka is overjoyed when her estranged brother, Gopinath, and his son, Rakesh, return from abroad. With their help she hopes to get Ram marries with Aarti. Then things get complicated when Rakesh falls in love with Aarti. Ram leaves town to attend to business, and circumstances propel Renuka to will her entire estate to Rakesh and change his name to Bharat, with the blessings of a renowned saint named Ishwar Baba. After this ceremony, the people around Renuka start showing their true colors, and after an open-palmed stinging slap from Aarti, Renuka realizes that her place in this house is now worse than that of a lowly servant.

Bewafai is a romantic film revolving mostly around a woman named Asha (Tina Munim) who has been in love with a man named Ashok Nath (Rajesh Khanna) since her childhood. But somehow she was never able to convey her feelings for him throughout her childhood and college days. Now Ashok works as her dad's employee. She becomes very possessive about him to the point where she cannot stand the thought of another woman trying to woo him. The possessiveness becomes so strong that Asha beats up a woman named Vinny (Meenakshi Seshadri) over Ashok. She tries her best to ensure that she keeps herself aware of Ashok's whereabouts. Renu (Padmini Kolhapure) falls in love with Ashok and when this fact is known to Asha she becomes heartbroken. She comes to know that Ashok has been taking care of Renu for a long time. Asha decides to meet Renu to teach her a lesson but when she finds that Renu is a mental patient and Ashok has been nursing her, she changes her heart and begins to assist Ashok in doing service to the mentally imbalanced Renu. Their lives take an unexpected turn when an unknown person shoots Ashok and leaves him mortally wounded.

Sharda is in love with a young man who wants to marry her. Before the marriage could take place, some of his friends force themselves upon Sharda, leaving her pregnant. When her boyfriend does not show up, she decides to keep the child, names her Swati, re-locates to a small town in Southern India and finds employment as a nurse with Dr. Rajendra. Years later Swati has grown up to be an assertive young woman, who is not only outspoken but quite capable of physically defending herself, but her attitude alienates her and Sharda from the community in general. She befriends Ram Mohan, an activist, who is often in trouble with the police. With no one to look after her mother after she gets married, Swati asks Rajendra, now a widower, to marry Sharda, to which he agrees. The marriage takes place, and both move in to live a wealthy lifestyle with Rajendra and his daughter, Anandi. Rajendra and Sharda decide to find a suitable groom for Swati, but before that could happen Swati and Anandi have a confrontation, things escalate to such an extent that Sharda disowns Swati and she moves out, while Anandi's marriage is being arranged with Prasad Chiranjivi Gupta. But Sharda's troubles with Swati are far from over—as Swati will soon return into her life—with time with her long-last boyfriend, and Swati's biological father—turning Sharda's life upside down.

Kishan (Rajesh Khanna) is the spoilt son of a rich businessman. He is a medical student, for whom the life is all about playing pranks and troubling people around. Finally he is taught a lesson in humility by fellow student, Madhu (Hema Malini). He undergoes a dramatic change in outlook and falls in love with her. But his joy is short-lived as Kapilkumar (Danny Denzongpa) kills Madhu as she is the only witness to a murder. On the deathbead, Kishan promises Madhu that he would kill whoever is responsible for the death. Kishan is devastated and carries on a man hunt for KapilKumar. He finally recognizes Kapil in a train and in the ensuing scuffle, Kapil pushes Kishan off the running train. When Kishan regains consciousness, he is amazed to see Madhu (Hema Malini). On following her, he realizes that he is the twin sister of Madhu, Chanchal. He then starts practising medicine in their small village as this was what Madhu wanted to do. With time, Both are drawn towards each other until one day Kapil is in front of them once again. What Kishan does not know is that Kapil is his elder brother who was separated when they were young.

Colonel Sahab is a doctor in a psychiatry ward and Nurse Radha (Waheeda Rahman) is heart-broken after a civilian patient, Dev Kumar (Dharmendra), whom she cared for, pouring out her love and affection, leaves the hospital, as she had been unable to keep her heart separate from her professional work and had fallen in love with her patient. Next Arun Choudury (Rajesh Khanna), a writer and poet enters as a patient, suffering acute mania after being rejected by his lover, Sulekha. After refusing to take his care, Radha relents and starts nursing him. In between while caring for Arun she reminisces her past and tells a story of how she took care of injured brave army soldiers when she was posted in Laddakh during the Sino-Indian war of 1962.
