Synopsis
Hamid Afshari, le secrétaire au palais de justice (Parviz Parastui), est à court d’argent pour acheter un ordinateur à son fils. Désespéré, il planifie d'enlever Farzan, le fils de Monsieur Zare, un riche parti qui avait un procès au tribunal. Pour cela, il prend pour complice Asghar, un gangster déjà condamné. Asghar enferme Farzan dans une villa en banlieue. Pour attraper les ravisseurs, Monsieur Zare feint un état d’urgence et se fait hospitalier. Hamid Afshari se précipite à l’hôpital pour s’informer de son état de santé. Roya, l’infirmière qui l'en informe (Fatemeh Motamed-Arya), semble très accueillante et serviable. La trouvant à son goût, Hamid se sent très rapidement épris d’elle.Actors

Reza Mesghaly, known as Reza the Lizard, is a thief known in criminal circles for his ability to bare-handedly climb all walls (from which he derives his name, "the Lizard", or "Marmoulak" in Persian). At the very beginning of the film, he is arrested and charged with armed robbery, a crime that as revealed near the ending of the film, he did not commit. Nonetheless, he is sentenced to life in prison, and is met at the jailhouse by a strict warden, who says that his intention is to "make a person out of prisoners"; thus they will be led into heaven; "by force," if necessary.

The film follows a character known as The Cinematographer (Mehdi Hashemi), who is looking for someone called Atieh (Future). As he calls out to her, he is magically transported back in time from the early twentieth century to the reign of Naser al-Din Shah in 19th century Iran. Captured by the Shah's guards, he shows films from the (future) history of Iranian cinema to the Shah (Ezzatolah Entezami). The Shah is entranced and eagerly shows his family the apparently magical medium.
