Bangaru Babu is a 1973 Indian Telugu film, directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vanisri, Jayanthi and S. Varalakshmi in lead roles. The film had musical score by K. V. Mahadevan.
The movie starts with the marriage of a young couple Krishnaveni (Vanisri) and Krishnamraju, and continues with happy family life and kids. The couple decides to go to a tourist place called Amaravati. Krishnaveni has subconscious bad memories of her childhood abuse and the place where she was molested. She starts having hallucinations, overwhelming fear and other symptoms of mental illness. She is sent to a mental hospital and treated by psychologists. After her return from hospital, she is not welcomed back by her family members, kids, neighbours or even her friends. Society is afraid of her disease. Evil people misuse this opportunity. Slight disagreements or arguments are also treated as a sign of her disease. She cannot regain the affection of her husband and kids. Her misfortunes continue until she becomes ill again. The movie ends on a sad note, but conveys a message about society's misconceptions about mental illness.

Knowing about this Timmarusu reaches Kalinga and protects him. Pratraparudra Gajapathi (Mukkamala) wanted to kill him with the help of his son Veerabhadra Gajapathi (Prabhakar Reddy). However his daughter Annapurna Devi (Devika) openly opposes it and loves him. In a political dialogue, Prataparudra agrees to marry his daughter to Krishnadevaraya. After the marriage, he plans to kills him. With the help of Timmarulu he comes out of danger. They reach the Hampi with Rani Annapurna Devi along with Hamvira (Lingamurthy). Annapurna gives birth to Tirumala Raya. Hamvira creates differences between Krishnadevaraya and Timmarusu and kills Tirumala Raya. He convinces Rayalu that Timmarusu is the culprit. The court on the instructions from Rayalu orders to make him blind and imprison him. Before Rayalu Knows the fact, the punishment is implemented. However Timmarusu pardons him and their relationship continued.

He accidentally meets her while stealing a necklace from Saroja. Bhushaiah is sentimental about Kulam (Caste) and Gotram and does not accept his love. Ravi leaves the house and marries Saroja in a Temple. Ravi is posted as a police inspector in the same town. His nephew (Relangi) is arrested while gambling. Because of his father, he could not attend the marriage of his sister. His mother dies of mental illness, which brings about a change in Bhushaiah. Ravi has a son, who attracts Bhushaiah to visit him secretly and even gifts him a gold chain. Chalapati attempts to rob the house of Bhushaiah and get caught by Ravi. At the end Bhushaiah leaves his casteism and invites his son, daughter-in-law and grandson to his house.
