Bastille Day is an upcoming American action film directed by James Watkins and written by Andrew Baldwin. The film stars Idris Elba, Richard Madden, Charlotte Le Bon, Eriq Ebouaney and José Garcia.

Synopsis

À la veille du 14 juillet, Zoé Naville, jeune Française, prépare un attentat à Paris. Son objectif : créer un choc dans la société, sans tuer le moindre civil. Michael Mason, petit voleur américain, dérobe le sac de Zoé. Il en extrait ce qui l'intéresse et se débarrasse du reste dans une poubelle. Au même moment, dans une base secrète de la CIA de la capitale française, l'agent Sean Briar, de retour de difficiles missions en Syrie et en Irak, essaie de s'adapter à son nouvel environnement. Les circonstances dramatiques vont l'obliger à s'acclimater plus vite encore, car on apprend que cet attentat a été planifié par le ministère de l'Intérieur, qui avait pour intention un transfert d'un demi-milliard.

In July 1976, Air France flight 139 from Tel Aviv to Paris via Athens was hijacked by four terrorists, two of whom are West Germans named Wilfried Boese (Klaus Kinski) and Halima (Sybil Danning), and the other two are Palestinians. After landing to refuel in Libya, the four hijackers force the plane to take off and to land thousands of miles away at the airport in Entebbe, Uganda, at the invitation of the Ugandan leader Idi Amin (Mark Heath). The two Germans and two Arab hijackers are joined at the Entebbe Airport by at least three more Palestinian terrorists. The Jewish passengers are separated and held hostage in demand to release many terrorists held in Israeli prisons. After much debate, the Israeli government sent an elite commando unit, under the command of Colonel Yonatan Netanyahu (Yehoram Gaon), to raid the airfield and release the hostages. The film is based on fact and follows the events following the flight's takeoff until the hostages' return to Israel.

The film begins with a small IRA team, including Martin Fallon (Mickey Rourke) and Liam Docherty (Liam Neeson), watching as two British Army Land Rovers approach the roadside bomb they have set for them. The confrontation is watched from a distance by Billy Meehan, who tells his brother there is a witness to the killing.

Le Taboulistan est un minuscule pays fictif, prétendument enclavé entre l'Afghanistan, le Kirghizistan et le Tadjikistan, quasiment inconnu du reste du monde. La méthode retenue : le « terrorisme publicitaire ». Leur objectif est de détruire la tour Eiffel à l'aide d'un avion. À la suite d'une grève à l'aéroport de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, ils se posent en Corse. Ils rencontrent les nationalistes corses et embarquent sur un bateau en direction de Marseille. Malheureusement, un des deux est victime d'une attaque car il portait un maillot PSG, puis d’une erreur médicale. Une journaliste d'iTélé les aide à aller à Paris.
