It stars Mammootty, Sruthi Krishnan, Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Salim Kumar, Vinayakan, Master Vivas, Sreenivasan, K. P. A. C. Lalitha and Sukumari in major roles. The film marks the debut of popular photographer Martin Prakatt as director. It was produced by Naushad under the banner of Big Screen. Several film directors made cameo appearances in the film. The film is all about the travails of a schoolteacher who dreams of being a film actor. It features cinematography by Ajayan Vincent, music by Bijibal and editing by Don Max. It released on 9 December.
Synopsis
Mohan (Mammootty) is an upper primary schoolteacher, who lives with his wife and their six-year-old son. He is actively involved in the cultural activities in his school and in his village too. His ambition is to act in films. Mohan is so besotted with this dream of becoming a star that he dresses and behaves like one. Although his colourful clothes and obsession with his looks invite the ridicule of his colleagues, his wife supports his aspirations. Then a film crew comes to the village for a shoot. Mohan makes several attempts to make his dream happen but certain incidents occur and the story takes a different turn.Actors

The movie revolves around Thomman (Rajan P. Dev), who is a thief, and his two adopted sons, Shivan (Mammotty) and Sathyan (Lal). The story begins when they decide to mend their ways and lead a hardworking life. They own a lorry now and want to find work. Their lorry breaks down near Udumalpet. There the twists start. Sathyan steals the food from Panicker (Janardhanan)'s house. Actually the rice is mixed with poison by Panicker due to oppression from the village head Thevar (Kalashala Babu because Panicker's son cheats him and his daughter and go with Thevar's Money. Thomman eats the food and is hospitalized. After returning from hospital Thomman and sons come to Panickers house to know the truth. Now there is also Thomman and his sons with Panicker to help them and they defeat Thevar gang and take Thevar's Aid Rajakkannu or Rajappan (Salim Kumar) as their Adima means Slave. Later Thevar's daughter Poonkavanam (Laya) falls in love with Shivan. Thevar arranges Shivan's marriage with his daughter. There Kaaliyappan (Anand), who Poonkavanam's maternal uncle comes to stop the marriage. His plan success. At the marriage night Sathyan becomes a thief who robs the groom's Ornaments. Then Shivan and Sathyan Separates due to this incident. Actually Kaliyappan was its master brain. He tries to kill Sathyan and tell everyone that he escaped with the money. He killed Panicker's son by this way. But now Kaliyappan fails. Shivan come and help Sathyan. They go to Thevar’s house and reveals to him the truth about Panicker’s son and all misdeeds of Kaliyappan. After all becomes good there is a bad news for Shivan and Sathyan by Rajakkannu that Thomman due to his son’s separation attempt to suicide from a big mountain. His sons come there and Thomman tell that they would fight and Defeat him then only he stops his suicide attempt. At Last The Comical Climax Takes Place. Shivan and Sathyan beats Thomman and Thomman says -Ningalu thommanne makkalu thanne.

Kannan and Dasappan are two rowdies in their village. Shathrugnan. a newcomer, is in love with Dasappan' s sister, Devootty, but she is not interested in him. Shathru joins Kannan's and Dasappan's firm, KD & Company, as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of Devootty. The film begins with Police Officer Jeevan(Biju Menon) taking charge of Mangalore city Police. He learns from his suboridinate Sudhakaran Nair(Sadiq) that the city is still ruled by underworld don Govindji (Thilakan). Navaneeth Krishnan a.k.a. Kishanji (Suresh Gopi) is Govindji's lead henchman. Govindji acts as a sort of Godfather to him. Kishan has a face-off with Jeevan and Jeevan gets injured in the fight. Jeevan later is surprised to see Kishan during a train journey but it turns out that it is Ananthakrishnan a.k.a. Ananthu (Suresh Gopi), Kishan's identical twin; who unlike Kishan is a well educated and righteous person. Jeevan visits their family home in Kerala to confirm the facts. He learns that Kishan, despite being from a well-off family and being topper at school, ran off during his teenage and joined the gangs of Mangalore owing to a punishing father(Narendra Prasad). Jeevan also meets Kishen's uncle(Nedumudi Venu) and his daughter Manikkutty(Lena) who is Ananthu's fiancee.

The whole story happens over two days, when five friends get together to celebrate New Year's Eve. The friends are John (Lal) a lawyer, Kichu (Biju Menon) a percussionist, Roopesh Krishna (Suresh Krishna) an actor, Bava (P. Sukumar) a chef and Babumon (Sunil Babu) a government employee. They are having a blast at John's apartment on the last day of the year. John, who is not in good terms with the apartment association goes to the new year party and ruins the party. The apartment owners who were looking for a way of taking vengeance, finds that a lady was staying at their apartment overnight and calls the police to charge them against immoral trafficking.

Kalidasan (Lal) works in the state archaeological department in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and is a food lover. His only companion is his cook, Babu (Baburaj). Manu Raghav (Asif Ali) is Kalidasan's nephew who comes to stay with him, while looking for a job.
