It stars Mammootty, Sruthi Krishnan, Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Salim Kumar, Vinayakan, Master Vivas, Sreenivasan, K. P. A. C. Lalitha and Sukumari in major roles. The film marks the debut of popular photographer Martin Prakatt as director. It was produced by Naushad under the banner of Big Screen. Several film directors made cameo appearances in the film. The film is all about the travails of a schoolteacher who dreams of being a film actor. It features cinematography by Ajayan Vincent, music by Bijibal and editing by Don Max. It released on 9 December.
Synopsis
Mohan (Mammootty) is an upper primary schoolteacher, who lives with his wife and their six-year-old son. He is actively involved in the cultural activities in his school and in his village too. His ambition is to act in films. Mohan is so besotted with this dream of becoming a star that he dresses and behaves like one. Although his colourful clothes and obsession with his looks invite the ridicule of his colleagues, his wife supports his aspirations. Then a film crew comes to the village for a shoot. Mohan makes several attempts to make his dream happen but certain incidents occur and the story takes a different turn.Actors

The movie revolves around Thomman (Rajan P. Dev), who is a thief, and his two adopted sons, Shivan (Mammotty) and Sathyan (Lal). The story begins when they decide to mend their ways and lead a hardworking life. They own a lorry now and want to find work. Their lorry breaks down near Udumalpet. There the twists start. Sathyan steals the food from Panicker (Janardhanan)'s house. Actually the rice is mixed with poison by Panicker due to oppression from the village head Thevar (Kalashala Babu because Panicker's son cheats him and his daughter and go with Thevar's Money. Thomman eats the food and is hospitalized. After returning from hospital Thomman and sons come to Panickers house to know the truth. Now there is also Thomman and his sons with Panicker to help them and they defeat Thevar gang and take Thevar's Aid Rajakkannu or Rajappan (Salim Kumar) as their Adima means Slave. Later Thevar's daughter Poonkavanam (Laya) falls in love with Shivan. Thevar arranges Shivan's marriage with his daughter. There Kaaliyappan (Anand), who Poonkavanam's maternal uncle comes to stop the marriage. His plan success. At the marriage night Sathyan becomes a thief who robs the groom's Ornaments. Then Shivan and Sathyan Separates due to this incident. Actually Kaliyappan was its master brain. He tries to kill Sathyan and tell everyone that he escaped with the money. He killed Panicker's son by this way. But now Kaliyappan fails. Shivan come and help Sathyan. They go to Thevar’s house and reveals to him the truth about Panicker’s son and all misdeeds of Kaliyappan. After all becomes good there is a bad news for Shivan and Sathyan by Rajakkannu that Thomman due to his son’s separation attempt to suicide from a big mountain. His sons come there and Thomman tell that they would fight and Defeat him then only he stops his suicide attempt. At Last The Comical Climax Takes Place. Shivan and Sathyan beats Thomman and Thomman says -Ningalu thommanne makkalu thanne.

Kannan and Dasappan are two rowdies in their village. Shathrugnan. a newcomer, is in love with Dasappan' s sister, Devootty, but she is not interested in him. Shathru joins Kannan's and Dasappan's firm, KD & Company, as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of Devootty. KD & Company keeps as hostage a music troupe who comes to their village to perform. The main singer of that troupe, Sangeetha, gets expelled from her home because of this and Kannan and Dasappan give her refuge, at the insistence of Devootty.

Radhakrishnan (Dileep) is dysfunctionally brought up like a girl by his grandmother (Sukumari) who wanted a granddaughter. There by, he becomes effeminate and milquetoast. She calls him Radha, which becomes his nickname. Radha's father Divakaran (Lal) goes to jail for a murder that he accidentally commits. Radha is ridiculed among the people in the village but he is not worried and spends time with the girls singing and teaches dancing. His best friend is Malu (Gopika) who is wooed by Kumaran (Indrajith), a local money lender and the son of the man whom Radha’s father had killed.

Thahasildar Gopi is living a moderate life. He is a well-respected person of the place and has no great difficulty in caring his wife and children. One day a person from Gulf named Johny arrives the place. His ways of making a living in the Gulf is not dealt in detail. But it is assumed that he is not enjoying a very good life there. Because of his wife’s compulsion Thahasildar Gopi decides to meet him with a plan to board for Gulf. There with Johny’s counsel he starts learning typewriting. Later another person named Ismail also arrives from Gulf. From Ismail Gopi understands that people who learned typewriting do not have good job opportunities there because of many reasons including companies started recruiting Arabs as employers instead of foreigners. He in turn suggests Gopi to learn sewing which he thinks will fetch job for the Thahasildar. The Thahasildar arranges some sacks of cements for Isamail in between as a token of thanks. Thahasildar’s wife Padmavathi meanwhile compel him to procure a visa for him from people like Johny and Ismail. While learning sewing at a man’s house he is happened to fall into an illicit relationship with the daughter of the man who teaches him sewing. One night when the father is not at home Gopi happens to come to the house and sways for the sexual advances of the daughter. That night he is caught by the local people mistaking him as a thief while he is running from the house to catch a thief whom he sees just passes by. In the police station he is identified as the Thahasildar and the police sets him free after taking him to the hospital. Now Thahasildar has lost his prestige and good name in the society. Later or on the next day his wife’s brother Sudhan who also arrives from the Gulf tells him the real condition abroad. In his understanding a person who is willing to do almost all kinds of jobs like that of a head load worker's can dream of getting a job in the Gulf. Thahasildar is disappointed to hear this news. Next day he gets a letter telling he is suspended from his job because of a prima facie case against him. As he lost his job now he is forced to become a head load worker to help him and his family just as Sudhan said. In the end Gopi who is now a head load worker accidentally happens to work for Johny who, this time is returning from the Gulf. In this climax scene Gopi is portrayed as a toy which Sudhan gifted to his niece.

Mr. Menon (Devan), a multi-millionaire, buys considerable real estate and entrusts it to one of his trusted lieutenants, Sreedharan Unnithan (Kalashala Babu), to construct a 5-star hotel. Small time criminal, Mahi (Mammootty) gets released from prison early. He has a reputation of beating up his rivals in the darkness. Mahi wants to help fellow inmate Balan's (Manoj K.
