Bollywood actress Mahek Chahal did an item song with Prosenjit in this film. This movie is a remake of Telugu film Vikramarkudu, which had been dubbed into Malayalam as Vikramathithya, into Bhojpuri as Vikram Singh Rathod IPS, and into Hindi as Pratighat, was remade into Bangladeshi Bengali as Ulta Palta 69, into Kannada as Veera Madakari, into Tamil as Siruthai, and into Hindi as Rowdy Rathore. It was initially to be titled Shotru 2, but due to some negative acclaim, it was shifted to a new name. The movie, though panned by critics, turned out to be a moderate success. Later it was also dubbed in Hindi as Ek Rowdy Bikram. Songs like Dhin Tak Na by Bappi Lahiri and Saat Paake Bandha by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik became popular among viewers and listeners.
Synopsis
Gupi (Prosenjit Chatterjee) is a small time conman in love with Madhu (Richa Gangopadhyay), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn't invited to. Into this picture perfect world enters six-year-old Osmita (Baby Titli), who inexplicably believes Gupi to be her dad! And if this wasn't bad enough, Gupi also becomes the object of a series of life-threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something he doesn't. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Gupi stumbles upon a deadly secret. A secret that will take him to a small town named Debgarh; a town terrorized by its ruthless MLA and the mafia he controls; a town whose inhabitants' only hope for redemption is.Actors

The economic stability of Wakonda, Oregon, is threatened when the local logging union calls a strike against a large lumber conglomerate. When independent logger Hank Stamper and his father Henry are urged to support the strikers, they refuse, and the townspeople consider them traitors. Hank struggles to keep the small family business alive and consequently widens the rift between himself and his complacent wife Viv, who wants him to put an end to the territorial struggle but is resigned to his doing things as he sees fit. Also complicating matters is Leland Stamper, Henry's youngest son and Hank's half-brother, who returns home with a college education and experience in urban living. In 1965, a couple (Sylvia Chang and James Wong) are doting on their newborn twin boys. A young boy, Tom Tiflin (Peter Miles), is given a small pony by his father (Shepperd Strudwick). Tom asks the stable helper, Billy Buck (Robert Mitchum), to help him raise and train it so that it can be ridden. During a rain storm the pony gets out of the stable and having been soaked becomes fevered. Despite Buck's best efforts to nurse the pony it develops strangles and requires a tracheotomy. Shortly after the procedure, the pony escapes from the farm. Tom follows the pony's hoof prints to a gully where it has died and is being eaten by vultures. He blames Buck for not saving its life. Buck, feeling remorse, prepares to kill his own pregnant mare in order to give Tom a colt, believing the unborn may not have turned. Tom grows angry at Buck's willingness to sacrifice a horse and steals his knife. When they return to the stable the foal has been born naturally, with both mother and colt surviving.
