Synopsis
A rape victim, comic book artist Lisa Roberts is given the runaround by the New York police. Tired with city life, she heads for the wide open spaces of Arizona. Not long afterward, she is propositioned by lowlife Randall Atkins. She reports this to sympathetic local policeman Steve Smith, who replies matter-of-factly that this is not the first time that Atkins has been accused of a sexual offense. To her amazement, Roberts is later visited by Atkins, who agitatedly warns her not to trust the sweet-natured policeman. Someone is lying about something, and Roberts plainly does not know what to believe. When she finds out, it is nearly too late.Actors

In 2002, a Syrian scrap collector uncovers a large unexploded bomb buried in a field within the Golan Heights, and sells it to a South African arms dealer named Olson (Feore). Olson recognizes it as an Israeli nuclear weapon that was lost when the A-4 Skyhawk carrying it was shot down during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He later sells it to a secretive far-right cabal seeking to impose a white supremacist world order, led by Austrian billionaire and neo-Nazi Richard Dressler (Bates). Dressler's aim is to transform Europe into a united fascist superstate. He intends to start a nuclear war between the United States and Russia that will devastate them both.

In Bolivia's Amazon basin, corporate cattle ranches are replacing the rain forest. When a Senator is killed in an explosion, the FBI investigates. The agent in charge is Danny O'Neill (Pierce Brosnan), who is separated from his wife Terry (Lisa Eilbacher) (due to the accidental drowning of their only child in their pool) and behaving very erratically. Initially the investigation does not reveal the kind of explosive used or even what was used to detonate it. Eventually it is learned that terrorists have developed an "invisible" liquid explosive which is activated within the human body (by stomach acid). It also does not help that they have to report to Senator Traveres (Ron Silver), the man whom O'Neill's wife is having an affair with and whom Danny also assaulted.

In this fact-based adolescent melodrama, Joe Fisk is a juvenile delinquent who falls in love with Lisa Taylor, a beautiful Catholic girl's school student, in an Oregon forest. An encounter in the bar of the Mexico City branch of the Camino Real Hotels, between tired businessman Danny Wright (Greg Kinnear), hoping to land a life-saving contract in Mexico, and jaded, falling-apart-at-the-seams assassin Julian Noble (Pierce Brosnan), leads both men into an awkward friendship. The movie follows the story of Jack Lerolland (Lambert) and his friends and family going for a short country trip. Along the way they are harassed by gangs of murders, led by maniac Cliff (Sheffer). When Cliff kills Jack's brother in a car crash, this is the start of the chain of events which will terrorize the group. Jack is supposedly killed next and the other members of his group are taken to the gangs hideout, with the female members of the group being molested. Meanwhile, Jack is revived and is able to travel to a police station. There he is tricked into a cell and is told to wait there, while the on-duty officer goes to check out the hideout. There, Jack meets Cliff's brother. A police officer later arrives at the hideout and is shot dead by a surprised Cliff. After this incident, Cliff becomes suspicious of some of his gang members and kills one of them. At the station, Jack and Cliff's brother breakout and are about. Jack is again tricked, this time by Cliff's brother, into waiting at the station, while he takes away the police car. Jack subsequently takes another car and reaches the hideout and frees his friends and family.
