Box-Office Bunny, released in 1990, is a 4-minute Looney Tunes short starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd. It was shown in theaters with The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter. This was Warner Brother's first Bugs Bunny theatrical release since 1964. It was issued to commemorate Bugs' 50th anniversary. It is included as a special feature on the DVD for The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie.

Jeff Bergman voiced the three main characters, thus becoming the first person besides Mel Blanc, who had died a year before the cartoon was released, to have the honor of providing Bugs' and Daffy's voices.

The short was directed by Darrell Van Citters, who went on to direct the first two "Hare Jordan" Bugs Bunny/Michael Jordan commercials for Nike.

Synopsis

The action takes place in a massive movie theater, called "Cineminium". It is a 100-screen multiplex, constructed right above Bugs' rabbit hole. When Bugs surfaces within the theater, usher Elmer Fudd attempts to drive him away. Meanwhile, Daffy finds the admission fee of the multiplex to be too high for his tastes. He instead uses his library card to force open a door and sneak inside.

In the half-hour special, Huey, Dewey, and Louie ask for help from Scrooge McDuck for their new soccer team by requesting he donate $1.49 to buy a championship trophy. Scrooge, being his typical stingy self, goes into a rant of "A dollar forty-nine! That is a lot of money!" and instead give an old trophy of his he thinks is worthless, but the boys pass the curator of the Duckburg Museum who sees it is a rare artifact worth a million dollars, causing Scrooge to gain the reputation as a generous philanthropist throughout Duckburg. To win back the trophy, Scrooge is now made to sponsor his nephews, where he is taken to a sporting goods store owned by a surprisingly athletic and agile Goofy. Scrooge enlists the aid of Goofy, soon known by the nickname of "Sport Goofy", who ends becoming the team's coach when the teammates of Scrooge's nephews are shown as ragtag misfits. The team christened the "McDuck Greenbacks", come together under Goofy's patient coaching and sharpen their soccer skills, and register to compete in the tournament.
