Synopsis
The film’s opening credits have a lingering sense of unease to them, which is capitalized on as soon as Caroline and Jackie arrive at the “surprise birthday party” Caroline has planned for Jackie (despite her birthday not being for two months and it actually being Caroline‘s birthday) – where the dynamic between the pair (and Ryan, to some degree) is pushed out to the larger group, ratcheted up by rapid cuts and lingering looks between Jackie’s friends. But it’s not just a surprise dinner party that Caroline has put together – when the group ends up back at Jackie’s place, the real “party” is revealed. It’s an intervention for Jackie, headed up by Caroline, who hopes that she and Jackie’s friends can help her with a variety of issues – anorexia, pill abuse, alcoholism, and even sexual promiscuity.Actors

The story follows the characters of Molly (Bledel), a struggling waitress, and Gus (Levi), a jewelry store employee. Gus and Molly met through a chance encounter when Gus is at Molly's diner ordering a coffee. Molly sees Gus making notes in his pen recorder and when he goes round back to take a phone call leaves a message on it saying her name. Molly and Gus then begin to date, and it is learned that Gus has a memory defect where he can not make new memories and forgets the day every time he sleeps. Trouble ensues as he does not tell Molly this and she finds him recording all their meetings. Gus tries to explain, but Molly mistakes this for being odd. A few weeks later and Molly returns to the apartment to find Gus's sister who explains and gives her the scrapbook Gus made entitled "Molly" he made to remember her. Molly visits the hospital where Gus Is under observation and introduces herself as his girlfriend and gives him the scrapbook so he can remember their relationship. We learn that Gus was meant to be the next Einstein working at Nasa in California, before his accident. Molly takes Gus there, where he meets old colleagues who tell him his work will help understand the universe much better. Whilst there Molly meets Gus's ex girlfriend who warns her any serious relationship with Gus will mean he won't remember their kids and other events in the long-term, and Gus also tells her to leave him if an operation to cure his disease does not work. Gus's sister tells Molly that Gus has already had this operation, however, but that it did not work. That night Molly sees a note on Gus's laptop for his to do list for the next day "Ask Molly to marry me". Molly deletes the note as a result of what Gus had told her to do and Gus wakes up the next day having never remembered Molly. Molly continues her life with a quarter million pounds she got from her great Aunt's will and starts a flower business. One day, at a wedding, a shooting star appears and Molly is reminded of Gus. She visits him the next day and hints to Gus that they know each other and asks him for coffee. The movie ends.

Rachel Maleman (Meredith Monroe) is an event planner at a hotel in Philadelphia. She used to date her co-worker John Anderson (Brett Watson), however, he cheated on her. She started online dating and met Craig Miller (Jason Gray-Stanford), a wealthy businessman who runs his mother's real estate company. The two start going out on dates and at the same time, John still has feelings for Rachel. After seeing John and Rachel go out for lunch together, Craig's brother, Ryan (Damon Runyan) is sent to kill John, because of Craig's jealousy. A private investigator named Jerry Berman (Bill Lake) is hired by the father of one of Craig's ex-girlfriends, named Dominique (Allison Brennan), who went missing. She was actually murdered by Craig when she told him that she was pregnant. Another girl that Craig dated, named Melissa (Sophie Gendron) was assaulted by Craig, in which he paid her to keep quiet about the incident. Now, after dating Rachel for a while with John out of the picture, Craig proposes to her. Upon wedding dress shopping, Rachel and her friend and co-worker Laura (Krista Morin) see Craig stop by at the boutique. He then picks out a dress that both Rachel and Laura do not approve of, but purchases it anyway. Craig asks his fiancee to quit her job at the hotel and work at his house, by starting her own event planning business, just so that he could spend more time with her. After he belittled her job and explained about his past relationships, this caused her to have concern and re-think about getting married. Throughout the film, Craig is revealed to be more controlling and obsessive. He kidnaps his fiancee and abandons their dog, Cody, at the side of the road. Rachel is in jeopardy when Craig becomes abusive towards her and eventually holds her at gunpoint when police arrive. He then gets shot by Mr.
