Cattle Drive is a 1951 American western film directed by Kurt Neumann and starring Joel McCrea. Much of the film was shot in the Death Valley National Park, California and Paria, Utah.

Synopsis

Chester Graham Jr, fils gâté et insupportable du directeur d'une compagnie de chemin de fer, voyage avec son père vers Santa Fè. Le train fait une halte en plein désert pour se réapprovisionner en eau, et le jeune Chester, descendu pour se dégourdir les jambes, le voit repartir sans lui. Après des heures de marche, il est recueillit par l'éleveur Dan Mathews, qui, à la tête d'une équipe de rudes cowboys, convoie un troupeau. Mathews refuse de se détourner de sa destination pour accompagner le jeune garçon et celui-ci, à contre-coeur intègre l'équipe. Lorsque Dan reconduira le jeune Chester à son père, le garçon capricieux et imbu de lui-même aura fait place à un jeune homme avisé, travailleur et respectueux des autres.

In 18th–century upstate New York, a quarrelsome white man named Butler seeks to foment war with the Indians, to rid the Mohawk Valley of the natives and settlers he despises. He goes to the Iroquois tribe chef Kowanen to warn him about a party of armed white settlers. Kowanen shows no concern, but his son Keoga and brave Rokhawah feel otherwise and plot a raid to steal the settlers' muskets. They are assisted by Keoga's sister Onida, but many Indians end up killed and Onida captured.

William Bonney alias Billy The Kid est engagé comme cow-boy dans le ranch de Jameson, le seul éleveur à lui tendre une main.
