Synopsis
Bob Stone (Dwayne Johnson), l'ancien bouc émissaire du lycée devenu agent d'élite à la CIA, refait surface dans la vie de Calvin Joyner (Kevin Hart) à l'occasion de la réunion des anciens de leur promo. Se vantant d'être sur une affaire top secret, il recrute Calvin, autrefois le gars le plus populaire du lycée, aujourd'hui comptable désabusé. Avant même que notre col blanc ne réalise ce dans quoi il s'est embarqué, il est trop tard pour faire marche arrière. Le voilà ainsi propulsé sans autre cérémonie par son nouveau « meilleur ami » dans le monde du contre-espionnage où, sous le feu croisé des balles et des trahisons, les statistiques de leur survie deviennent bien difficile à chiffrer, même pour un comptable.Actors

Calvin, un expert-comptable qui s’ennuie dans son emploi, renoue avec Bob Stone, une connaissance du temps de l’école secondaire qu’il n’avait pas revue depuis plus de 20 ans. Timide et potelé, à l’époque, Bob a maintenant un aspect physique impressionnant et semble bien dans sa peau. Mais ce que Calvin ignore c’est que cet homme est un agent de la CIA pourchassé par ses collègues pour le meurtre de son coéquipier et le vol de documents secrets. Rapidement impliqué dans l’aventure, le comptable devient, bien malgré lui, le nouveau partenaire du fugitif pour traquer un criminel en possession d’informations militaires stratégiques.

Maxwell "Max" Smart, an analyst for the top secret American intelligence agency, CONTROL, yearns to become a field agent like his idol, Agent 23. Despite top scores in the acceptance tests, Max is denied the promotion because the Chief of CONTROL feels that Max is too valuable as an analyst. Max goes for a walk, looking at Fang, a puppy in the pet store. A woman bumps into him. Beck (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) is a "retrieval expert", a bounty hunter who collects debts for a man named Walker (William Lucking). He is dispatched to a nightclub to retrieve a championship ring from a football player, and after doing so is assaulted by one of Walker's other collectors. Angry, he confronts Walker and tells him that he wants out of the business. Walker talks him into one last bounty - retrieve Walker's son Travis (Seann William Scott) from a small mining town in Brazil and Walker will give him enough money to open his own restaurant. Beck accepts and leaves for Brazil. When Beck arrives in the town of El Dorado he meets with the man running the mining operation, Mr. Hatcher (Christopher Walken). Hatcher gives Beck his blessing to grab Travis, but reneges when he finds out that Travis has discovered a missing golden artifact called "El Gato do Diabo". Beck confronts Hatcher and his men in the local bar and leaves with Travis. On the way back to the airfield, Travis forces their Jeep off the road and into the jungle. There he tries to escape but is re-captured by Beck. After an unfortunate encounter with some local monkeys, the two find themselves in the camp of the local resistance movement.

At the Bureau of National Security headquarters, BNS Special Agent Alex Scott is accosted by his rival, Carlos, before being briefed on his next mission. Scott is assigned to recover a stolen fighter plane sold to arms dealer Arnold Gundars. The plane is known as the "Switchblade" and is invisible to both radar and the naked eye. The BNS learns that Gundars is sponsoring Middleweight world boxing champion Kelly Robinson's next match, and is using the event to auction off the plane. The agency has contacted Robinson and assigned him to be the civilian cover for Scott's mission. Scott and Robinson travel to Budapest, where Scott plans to penetrate Gundars' compound during a pre-fight party.
